I've been here before several times but it has been a few years.
Went in for a quick dinner and drinks before a show at The Queen.
For yesterday's experience I'd give this place 5 stars for beer and food, but zero stars for service.
Asked for lemons for water. Had to ask 3 more times before they were brought. Ordered some of the happy hour items. The drinks literally took 30 minutes. Server kept saying they were coming but they never did. When they were up on the bar, took another 5 minutes to be delivered. Ordered a beer flight which also took around 15 min. When dropped off, server did not expiation that the dots line up with the beer label on the board. Additionally, they were wrong and I could clearly tell. Check came, but none of the prices reflected happy hour. Notified the server. Came back with a lump sum off of the total. Did the math, still wasn't right. Notified server. Revised check came back with LESS discount than the original check. Instead of asking for a 3rd revised check, we wrote down amounts to run cards. Came back and said the cards were accidentally split evenly, but was voided. It was a hot mess.
The food was all awesome. Get the Truffle Fries... Though they are on the soggy side of the spectrum, they work, but they'd be better crispy. I liked the burger better than the short rib pannini. They need to put the au jus in a bigger vessel...
Read moreThis past weekend, we hosted my daughter's first birthday party at Stich House, and having hosted many parties/events at different locations in the past, I was very impressed! The event coordinator Kelly was so helpful planning the event and answering all of my many questions. We rented the Shipley room which is in the back of the restaurant. It is closed off from the restaurant with sliding doors and has big windows letting in lots of natural light. We ordered two types of sandwiches and several appetizers and the food was fantastic. We took leftovers home and ate them for several days! There were lots of food options to cater to the crowd we had which ranged from babies to 90+ year-olds, and they were flexible allowing our gluten-free guests to order a la carte. Of course, the beer and wine selection was great. They helped us put up birthday decorations and actually had some Halloween decorations already up, which went great with my pumpkin-themed party. Parking was a breeze between street parking and multiple lots available close by. And the price was less than half of what I have paid for similar parties in Philly, NY etc! Overall, I couldn’t be happier – thank you Stitch House for a wonderful party – we will...
Read moreI came here on a Friday for happy hour with a friend, and have nothing except good things to say about this place. We sat ourselves on the bar side of the restaurant. This was our first time here, so the bartender/server asked us if we would like to sample any of the beers we were interested in before deciding to order our beers, which I wasn't expecting, especially for happy hour. She let us know that Happy hour goes from 4-7 pm and during this time, the 16 oz pours are $4. Soon after, she brought the samples over and after tasting the beers, we put in our orders for beers and food. We had a couple of drinks - I had the road side soda which was very light and refreshing and the house red wine which was a blend and was okay, while my friend had one of their stouts and the Shanty Dropper which he enjoyed as well. Food was good, we weren't that hungry, so we only had the wings and the brussel sprouts, which were both delicious and well made. The place seem to get busier as time passed, but it didn't get crazy loud. Our server continued to check on us time and time again. Overall, it was a good time, the food, service, ambiance was all great. Good for a chill date or place to hang...
