Hubs and I tried Roost for the first time this evening. Everything--and I mean EVERYTHING--every dish, every topping, every drizzle, etc., was eye-rolling/closing followed by an Ommhhhhhh...good. As wonderful as the food was our server, Lindsay, who made sure we were happy with everything, was always present in case we needed something without hovering, or being over-solicitous. She was also VERY genuine and friendly.

Pierogis and nachos for apps. The pierogis had the most fabulous caramelized onions in--perfectly done, sweet and savory. The nachos hubs ordered were wonderful--I tried them with the guac (I HATE guac) just to check it, and I had no idea guac could be that good. If I could be sure everyplace I went that served guac was that good, I'd order it everywhere.

Short rib grilled cheese with a side of mac for me, and wings with gochuguang pepper sauce for hubs. Tried a bite of hubs' wings--I can't remember the last time I had chicken that tender and juicy, especially given how crispy the skin was. Man--so good! Mac and cheese came in it's own skillet, wonderfully cheesy with a great crisp on top. The short rib grilled cheese was gorgeous. So tender, the perfect amount of cheese with a great little tang to it, so complement the short rib. Just beautiful!

Can't wait to go back. There are so many other things we want to try! Thank you--we just found a new favorite...

Awesome food and incredible drinks! Went to Roost last night for dinner and drinks with two other couples. When we walked in we were worried it was a bit loud and chaotic up front where the main bar is located. Definitely a vibe tho for anyone looking for a busy place to hang for a drink or bar bite. However, we were then walked to our table in the back behind a partial wall that considerably cut down the bar noise and suddenly made it so much more intimate. Drinks were awesome! Cannot recommend the BlackBird enough! It was fantastic- I had to have two!! !the beer drinkers in our group had a huge selection to choose from. To start we got two orders of the Bao, an order of wings and the pretzel with sausage cheese. Seriously-All were delicious!!! My friend and I shared the Cobb salad and Salmon and OMG the house made ranch and the perfectly cooked Salmon were awesome. The side of roasted broccoli was actually the best I’ve ever had- and it could have been because it was drizzled with the ranch. Others had burgers, brisket grilled cheese and chicken sandwiches - all enjoyed their meals. The star of the show??? The servers!!!! Cheerful, knowledgeable, attentive and funny. So glad we found this place- we will...

We went to roost for the first time and was excited to enter into a beautiful establishment.

Our waitress was great, the manager was disrespectful. The food that was good was the cheesesteak bun starters & the mussels. We sent back the wings because they were undercooked and gummy and the chicken salad. One they forgot the chicken, and two the salad itself was subpar.

Anyone who has had a good salad knows quantity over quality. The salad was huge, thrown together, and did not taste good.

Here is where the problem arose. I told the manager I did not like the salad, she asked why, I said because it is not a quality salad. She then persisted to ask me the same question 5 more times, insinuating my answer was not good enough. Her demeanor was very threatening and not at all hospitable.

There is a trend in downtown wilmington of these “new restaurants” treating black and brown people horribly. They will never see another cent of my money.

The highlights were our waitress, and the overall aesthetic. Don’t support this business...

I got a gift card to the Bardea chain of restaurants. We chose to go to Roost. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was a typical Friday night pub restaurant tour place. Parking is terrible fight for a spot on the street or pay for the parking garage. Decided to get food to go and ordered the shepherds pie which was supposed to come with puff pastry. When I got it there was maybe 8 oz. Of meat with a few peas and what looked like 4 oz. Of potatoes no pastry. They failed to tell us you don’t get it to go.it was $21 after waiting for an hour to get the order we were hungry and their solution was to offer to take the food back and refund the money. They offered fries when asked for alternative. At this point I was done and took the fries. My son got a 6 oz. Steak which was way under cooked with fries. $24 So if you want tiny mediocre food for a lot of money this is your restaurant.

Food is out of this word, Chef has so clearly put a close eye to every dish in the menu, the cocktails were also stunning, unique, picture perfect, & there’s something for everyone. Our favorites were the Herd & the Golden Goose. Service was outstanding from the front door to the very last bite, our table was clean & cleared between every plate & we always had what we needed. The young man who brought the food was obviously well trained & knowledgeable, explaining each dish in detail & offering to get us anything else we might need, we think his name was Lucas. Overall, we had one of the best dining experiences we could have asked for & Roost is exactly what downtown has been missing. We absolutely will be back & will be telling anyone who will listen to check this place out! 5 stars, 10 out of 10. Bardea strikes again!! Congratulations to the team who put this all together!

We have been to all of the other Bardea offerings in the area so we were excited to try out Roost! We were not disappointed. Located on Market Street in Wilmington, Roost is an upscale pub and bar. The menu is typical pub food fare but with an upscale twist. We were seated immediately upon entering. Our server Ashley was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable. She Handled our food sensitivities easily, made great recommendations for both drinks and food, and could explain any dish in depth. The food was delectable! We had the deviled eggs which arrived in a nest made out of dough, a burger, a Reuben, and dessert. If you are a craft beer person they have an excellent draft menu. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we look forward to returning.
