Papa Duke's Deli - a Hidden Gem on Wilton Drive.
UPDATE: Soup's On in #WiltoManors
Another Visit to Papa Duke's Deli this week:
Tasty! That's the only way to describe the homemade soups here. We returned for lunch and tried their Lemon Chicken Orzo soup with their made-to-order Italian sub (hero to New Yorkers!). We also tried the chili --rich in beef and homemade deliciousness -- the best I've tasted in Wilton Manors!
We noticed the Papa Duke’s Deli sign as soon as we entered Wilton Manors. We stumbled upon this gem on Wilton Drive (next to Tropics Grille) this past Sunday morning.
The bakery here is very good.
I opted for the fresh-made bagel with lox. This was on the Sunday “Specials Board” so it may not be available every day. Next up: Delicious warm corned beef – loads of it, on a rye bread with mustard and cole slaw (again, made in-house). This one sandwich was very filling. My partner was starved and ate his all by himself and nothing else for the rest of the day. We can highly recommend these two items on the Papa Duke’s menu . The tray of house-made cookies at the cashier stand was tempting. We bagged four for a later treat.
Papa Duke’s Deli is in the same mall as Dairy Queen at 1952 Wilton Drive and online ordering would have saved us10 minutes – we will do that next time!

The menu offers a wide array of classic deli options, but the standout for me has to be their stacked sandwiches. The pastrami on rye is nothing short of perfection—thinly sliced, tender, and bursting with flavor. Pair it with one of their homemade soups, like the chicken noodle, and you’re in for a comforting, satisfying meal.
For breakfast, their egg and cheese bagels are a game-changer: freshly baked bagels loaded with fluffy eggs and melty cheese, made just the way you like it. And don’t skip the side of coleslaw or potato salad—they’re house-made and perfectly seasoned.
What makes Papa Duke’s truly shine is the personal touch. The staff treat every customer like family, with friendly smiles and quick service. They genuinely care about their food and the people they serve, which creates a welcoming atmosphere you can’t help but appreciate.

Read moreWhen you live in paradise days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, and months turn into years. We become complacent because paradise is so good. We no longer strive for more. That is until a place like Papa Duke's opens up. It resets paradise and elevates it. You walk into a clean environment with a friendly staff. The sandwiches are crafted by hand. There are several selections, but not to the point of being overwhelming. I've also had some customized. Once you take your first bite, you are taken to a long forgotten world of quality and deliciousness. The drunken brisket is sassy, yet unpretentious. The bread is amazing. If DaVinci created art in sandwiches, it would be called Papa Duke's. Some of the best coffee in town to get you going in the morning. Not to mention the breakfast selection. That could be a...
