Tap That Ash Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Wilton Manors

I went into Tap not expecting much but what I got was more than I bargained for. First off the place has a great vibe. The colors. The lights. The stage. The atmosphere is just very cool and laid back. Next the bartender I had Zack. He’s adorable. And boy can the kid make a martini. I had him whip me up some deep eddy grapefruit martini, it was probably the best martini I have ever had. Three customers next to me ordered espresso chocolate martinis. All I can say is each one of them after they finished took their fingers and rimmed the glass clean. The martinis were literally finger licking good. That group did that two more times with the espresso martinis. Zack then shook me up a pomegranate martini and a lemon drop martini. All of them were better than the next. These were hands down the best martinis I have had in sometime. Tap has a great crowd. They have a stage for events. They have cigars but no smoking inside. I met one of the owners John who was a very nice guy. Introduced himself to me we had a brief conversation and then I had my last martini for the night an espresso chocolate martini and yes I fingered that glass clean. A great addition to Wilton Drive! I arrived around 6:30 PM this evening and was immediately greeted with a big hello and a beautiful smile from Diane! She asked me what I wanted to drink, and decided on a beer.

It's a great space, with a comfortable, intimate feel. There's also a bar one can choose to sit at. When I ordered my second beer, Perry, the bartender was attentive and pleasant...only to find out he was Diane's son! Their hospitality, warmth and smiles were refreshing. I went in as a first time customer and left feeling like part of the family!

As the night progressed, I was informed they were doing a poker night tonight. I decided to play and was escorted to another room that had a nice poker table that sat 10/11 people. We played three timed tournament games, prizes were given away, one of which I won! ($15 bar tab), and each game was compromised of different people. It was a fun time! Two gentlemen sat in on the last game, and they turned out to be Diane's husband and her other son.

They have a great selection of cocktails, wines and cigars, with available outside seating.

Tap That Ash is my favorite place in the world outside of home. You may come for the cigars, or for one of their amazing cocktails served by the best bartenders on the drive. But you will stay, and keep returning time and time again for the extraordinary owners, and regulars. The singular vibe, and welcoming nature of everyone there will charm you in a way few other places can. Now they’ve got a full liquor license, and smoking is ending inside starting March 1, 2025, the possibilities for fun and socializing are endless.
