Two words: Specials menu. Been in several times and always seen the most interesting things on the specials board. This is the only Mexican place I've been to that I regularly have to Google what the dishes are but everything I've tried is great. I assume the items are authentic and from deeper areas of Mexico than around here. I will say they never have prices listed on the board but never have we spent much more than $30-35 for two people, agua frescas included (which also have daily flavor changes, I recommend the pecan if they have it). If they ask a small or large, err on the side of small because I have yet to get a small something without saying "this is a small?!"
Always empty or nearly empty when we stop in for dinner, so food has always been quick to arrive but not sure how it would be if they were busier. Only one girl have I seen working there, who does all the service. She is always polite and friendly, though not the type of waitress to check on you after delivering your items which I'm okay with.
There are only 3 or so spots in the front but a larger lot in the back so if they look full don't worry...
Read moreFirst off, I would like to give credit where credit is due. The food is hot, fresh and delicious. We ordered a little of the whole menu; everything was great. The aguas are not fresh, I believe they use a powder based mixture but they definitely are not made with fresh fruit.
Service - lacking, less than mediocre. Such as travesty because this would really deal the meal. The girl working I'm guessing is family to the establishment owner. She's on her phone the whole time, not proactive in actually serving you at all. You have to ask for everything, she turns away and keeps talking rather than communicating with you face on. It's very odd.
Environment - the place needs a deep cleaning. There's floor looks very dirty, near the condiments station there's old onions and cilantro stuck to the floor. We just happened to be sitting right by it so it was very visible. The area where they pour the drinks needs a good cleaning, walls, floor and counters.
This place would be amazing with the right staff and environment. For now, to go...
Read moreWorst meal I've ever had in my life that I can honestly remember. The refried beans came out runny like water it was almost like a soup.
The tortillas I got seemed to be microwaved. You could tell they were previously made fresh and just being reused. The ones they reused were slightly on the burnt side at least this time.
The restaurant had a distinct scent that was not desirable. The menus seemed dirty the tables were dirty.
There were spider webs by the window as if the place has never had a full detailing. It took like 25 minutes for them to cook the food and i was the only one there.
I am blown away this place has 4.4 stars it is empty 99% of the time I drive by which is why I decided to give them some business and give it a shot. I will not be eating here again. It now makes sense why this place...
