So, I've never done this before. I drove up and ordered triple burger, no onions, med size pepsi lg chocolate shake and small cone.
Been coming here for 20 years approximately.
Could not hear the associate taking the order. On a scale from 1-10 - his audible was .05.
He was talking to me and I politely advised I could not hear him. A woman - 17-30 yo (?) came on her ear piece and YELLED back at me he said "to slow down". I told her she didn't have to yell at me and her response was "Well, you said you couldn't hear"! I then said to her she was yelling at me and her tone was totally unnecessary. I wanted for them to give me my amount, and would have been nice some form of an apology but nothing. So, I said, I will pick up at the window. No response. Drove up for next car, then heard her YELLING again to the person behind me about me! What - OMG.
Appetite gone, I slowly pulled up and around the cars and left.
If she was training him, management needs to rethink her role. I have worked in the food industry going through college - I always try to be polite because I know how the general public can be - but this encounter is one for the ages.
Man, all I wanted was a burger and to give my dog a vanilla cone treat - but to get this.
Sorry about the...
Read moreMy family and I enjoy going for ice cream during the summer months. Service is always good and the employees are friendly. My issue is with management and the way I have seen them treat their employees, especially the younger teenage looking workers. On several occasions I have seen these managers being horrible and bringing one girl to literally tears. I asked the young girl about why she puts up with in and she explained alot of the employees are getting fed up and some are quitting. Just the other day while getting ice cream the machine was sort of popping like spitting out air. The young man was wiping down the machine after each use trying to keep it clean. The manager then comes and angrily asked him why the floor was so dirty, she left it clean and told him to immediately mop it up. Seems to me if the ice cream machine was working properly there would not have been an issue. After this incident I have decided to no longer take my children for treats at this location. I would also like to apologize to the employees on behalf of these managers. You should not be treated that way and I appreciate...

The food is what it is, though I profess an addiction for their chocolate dipped soft serve cones.
This particular DQ has a special place in my heart: I’m a composer, and I drove down Ranch Road 12 when I was conceiving a new piece of music.
I’ll bet you that:
Over 30 years, I put easily 20,000 miles on the car taking that drive down RR12 when I was composing new music; I composed 20 percent of my total output, if not more, either at the roadside park on the Devil’s Backbone on RR12, or at this DQ.
For that reason, this particular DQ, above all others, will always hold a soft spot in my heart.
Over 30 years, they got to know me well enough to ask what new piece I was writing when I walked in, and got my large, chocolate-dipped cone ready without my even having to ask. THAT is how you build a customer...
