Came in early not a lot of business mabey 2 tables and us. JR was out server. Nice guy could tell he was new but hey give it a chance. Started off slow forgetting chips and salsa lol no big deal. Margarita was ok added 2 extra shots and perfect the second margarita was lots better. Food was fantastic. Hot and good is a plus in my book as I'm a chef for a living and tend to be over critical but always nice about issues. No issues here though just a lil slow on some stuff. Mother r got the Texas fajitas, wife got asada tacos and I got the pork tacos. All the food was seasoned well and very good . Those fajitas though we on point huge, really enough for 2 but I won't complain at all about that keep up the good work. Ohhhhh yea and the street corn,,,,, I could have eaten 20 of those. We will be back soon to try more till then everyone try this place out.

Tried this new Mexican restaurant to see how the food and pricing was. The chips, cheese dip, and salsa were good and the service was friendly. They did a pretty good job of keeping our drinks full. I tried the steak tacos, the wife had the veggie quesadilla, and the kids had chicken tacos and rice. Overall the flavor was good but the veggie quesadilla could have used some more tomatoes and mushrooms - it was a little heaviy on onions and peppers. Overall it ran approximately $10 per person with the tip so it is a little higher prices than some of the competitors in town but was definitely worth a try

I don't even know where to start, I'm new to this area just 2 weeks ago we moved with my family to Winder, we really like good and authentic Mexican food, not Texmex, not a ground beef tacos, I wanted to find a place close by since the restaurant that my family and I usually go is VERY FAR in Indian Trail, unfortunately I would have liked the food to be as good as the service but no, the carne asada does not taste like anything, the beans have no seasoning, the birria tacos are TERRIBLE, dry the sauce that usually accompanies the birria tacos is water with onion, the cheese deep is grainy, even the Horchata water had no flavor, I don't even mind spending its food is good but this has been one of the worst Mexican restaurants where I have eaten, very good service but the food leaves a lot to be desired, the worst $59 wasted.

Worst experience in Winder ever. First, I was encouraged by the reviews following the rebrand but sadly disappointed. The new owner may have rebranded the outside but the menus are still branded with previous name of Mirandas. When we came in we were pleasantly greeted and immediately seated with and the waitress getting our drinks immediately. That was the only pleasant experience from our lunch and with only one other table having lunch at the time. A young man came over with chips/salsa and proceeded to take our order. Unfortunately, the young man did not speak any English, which in a Mexican restaurant is not unusual, but I had to point to the actual menu item in order to order Barilla tacos and a chicken taco salad, which he wrote straight from the menu. A few moments later, the original female server came back to clarify our lunch order because it did not was not relayed properly. The salsa was pretty much pureed tomatoes and not really a salsa as there was no heat, no flavor. However, they were able to bring out a pepper sauce that was nicely flavored and better spiced. The food arrived and something not only did not look right but also smelled off. The "Birria tacos" that were presented looked to be just shredded beef placed on corn tortillas garnished with onions and cilantro. There was no sauce or moisture on the meat at all. I took one bite and it was completely inedible. My wife's taco salad also was off-putting and inedible. We notified the server that spoke English that neither dishes were edible. She was polite enough to ask for a re-fire which we declined. We asked to be cashed out for what we did eat. She was the only one that spoke English and there was no manager on sight. She had to call out to find out how they were going to handle the situation. After a fifteen minute wait for a decision, we were informed that because one dish appeared untouched, we would still have to pay for the taco salad and the tacos would be taken off. We were not allowed to question otherwise as, again, there was no onsite manager nor anyone else that could truly understand the problem. We left being forced to pay for food we did not eat. The management needs to educate their staff on all aspects of the menu to the POS system if they are not going to be on-sight. I do NOT blame the one server that was assisting as she was doing the best she could under the circumstances, and to find out with having only been on the job for a few days. AVOID THIS PLACE AND GO TO TACO...

I’m giving this place a 2 star instead of a 1 star because me and my fiancĂ© went for dinner. And she said her food wasn’t bad, but tasted like any other place. Thought we’d try out the New Mexican place in town because we love going out for Mexican food, we go out for Mexican almost every week. I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos and they came out in a reasonable amount of time but the steak was VERY dry, not seasoned at all so it was bland, the corn tortillas were kind of stale in my opinion, and the steak was barely warm when it came to the table. Was the first and last time we will go. Our waitress was nice but kind of slow, I’d understand if they were busy but there were only 4 tables with people eating and she only was taking care of 2 of those, us being one of them. She asked how every thing was and I told her not so good so she took the food and our plates. 10 minutes go by and no check, did not offer any sort of to-go anything, and asked how everything was going again, while we were patiently waiting after she cleared our table and she was sitting around. That’s when I asked for the check and they didn’t take my food off the ticket that I only took 2 bites of, Which I didn’t ask them to but most places will as a courtesy. Then as I go to pay offers me 25% off my meal so I still ended up paying for the majority of it. They were nice enough to give me a 10% off card for my next visit, it was really nice of them as they did not have to do that but sadly I don’t think there will be a next visit. Would not recommend, and will not...

Got food here over the weekend on a to-go order. Girl who answered the phone sounded confused, couldn't hear me on account of the blasting mariachi music. She put me on hold to try to throw me on someone else. Got 2 steak quesadillas and a cheese dip, 2 sides of rice and beans, cost $38 before tip. When I went to pick up my food, the girl who took my order didn't know what I was coming to pick up and argued with the other waitress til a man showed up very matter of fact and handed me my food. He seemed annoyed with the waitresses but that rubbed off on me. The food itself was subpar. The quesadillas are half the size of the ones you'd get at other Winder competitors. The meat was salty af, the cheese was a splashed after thought. The cheese dip was watery and tasteless. Chips were greasy and flimsy. I was really hoping this would replace my other go-to spots that have also diminished in service and quality, but Miranda's is way worse. For nearly 40 bucks for the slop I got, I was better off driving to Lawrenceville or Athens and going to another Mexican restaurant. Would've been 50% cheaper and I wouldn't have been treated like I was asking for charity. Avoid at all costs. This...
