I have very difficult to manage hair. It’s thick, frizzy, (think of Hermione from Harry Potter) and just a nightmare to deal with. Most stylists can’t cut my hair right, and it ends up looking a mess. For this reason, it takes a lot for me to trust someone. Previously, I had my hair cut by someone in Athens and during the pandemic she quit the profession. I held off for as long as possible before starting the search to find someone new. I was walking by Birch Salon one day after a date night with my husband (when we could FINALLY get a grandparent to watch the kids) and I noticed the display windows at Birch. It was beautiful, completely my style, and very clean looking. I figured I would give them a try. What I didn’t expect, was to fall in love with the salon so fast. One REALLY early morning (when my little guy woke me up), I decided to stop waiting and made a request to get my hair cut (for the first time since the pandemic). I received a very quick reply and an appointment was made before the morning really even began! Upon arrival, the ladies at the front desk were super sweet and helpful. I throughly enjoyed shopping the new items while waiting for a chair (even though it was a very quick 5 minute wait). My stylists introduced herself (the lovely Abby) and began asking what I would like. She seemed very knowledgeable and I put my trust in her. I had my hair washed, cut, dried, and styled. It was both relaxing with an enjoyable chat. When she finished, I honestly couldn’t believe that it was my hair on my head. I knew I waited a long time to get a cut, but my hair literally looked the best it’s EVER looked! I was floored! I am beyond excited now to have a place to go that will not only give this stay at home mom some time to herself, but that will actually do the right job for my hair. Thank you Abby! You are seriously a miracle worker, and beyond talented! I would also like to give a huge applause to the entire staff working that day, because you can just feel the teamwork and dedication to the job. And that’s a hard thing with a group...

I have been platinum blonde (as you can see in my profile pic) for at least a decade. Because my regular stylist left the industry, I had to try a new stylist, which is always scary when you are dealing with bleach. Nevertheless, I went earlier this week to a different stylist and much to my sadness and disappointment, it was a nightmare. I left there with silver (think Christmas tree tinsel) hair and even after telling the stylist that I did not like it, she would not correct. I went home and tried washing all the toner out. While I was able to wash out the shiny silver, it left it a very dull ugly dirty dishwater blonde. This is where Emily comes in. I called over to the Birch Salon and spoke to a very sweet young lady, Abby, who advised it was possible to correct. She recommended Emily who just happened to have a cancellation the next day (Thursday). So I saw Emily who presented as a consummate professional. She was not only professional but extremely kind, empathetic, skilled and has restored my hair!! I don't believe I've ever met such a talented and skilled cosmetologist. Aside from skill, talent and experience, what sets Emily above all others is the fact she listens and genuinely cares. I highly recommend Emily...
Read moreI need to respond to tricks trusted. I was in the salon when you arrived yesterday to speak to the owner. Your perm looked good. I will say your behavior and the way you conducted yourself was awful. You and your mother need to be embarrassed by your behavior. You stomped your foot in a tantrum because you didn’t get your way you acted like a spoiled brat and after reading your review I assumed by your behavior you were around 15 years old so the fact that you went home and got drunk right there is a red flag that there is something wrong with you and your family. This salon has been absolutely excellent at every service they have provided for me and if you look at all the reviews you were the only one who was unhappy and who threw a tantrum I will tell you this you will get more results with a positive attitude instead of walking into a salon full of people screaming like and stamping your feet. Your mothers needs to smack some sense into you and teach you how to treat others. I think that you are very lucky that Emily is very professional and is a very nice person and the way that she handled you was beyond professional because if I were in her shoes I would’ve picked her spoiled but up and thrown you out and told you to go get lost. Btw all perms look like that the day after. The salon did...
