FRIENDS WINDER GRILL — Restaurant in Winder

I was tryin to do half a star. My first time coming and I knew before walking in i would be looked down on. I had to put my self in perception in my own perspective to see how friendly this bar was. I walk in the bar to face a show and tell white girl portrayed as a black girl stereotyped me from the beginning. I asked for the cowboy game but i had to have xray vision for that..she sent the non racist white girl to me because she is rural and scared. This waitress was so nice and kind. Tried to make sure i was comfortable. I asked her where is an outlet to charge my phone.. She asked me to close out and go to the bar.....first of all the waitress place those evil people beside me( waitress not knowing they were evil). talking about my grey hair like i am walking around with fake gray hair. So as soon as the white sincere waitresd sits down beside me cause she is trying to understand me cause I have a.low tone. Another woman brings the evil people food out. At that time i felt bad cause.i thought i was holdimg her up nut my waitress never came back. But the lady that brought the evil food came and asked me did i need a to go cup of water. Idk.i havent asked for anything. My two plates and beer was finished. I said i have a waite Waitress she said i understsnd and was trying to help her out. This nice watress at the time had only three tables. I was upset and closed me out. I was mad at the assumption of begging.. I had to immediately walk out that black repubicam bar......by far the worst bar ever for me.....i walked into an applesbee in farmington kemtucky an everybody was caucasion. They. kneei would feel uneasy so when i left saying all white.people are not bad. Thats when i realized there were bad people in every.race......but winder is still a seperated city......worst customer service i have ever seen. I got treated better in Forsyth. We have heard really negative things lately about Friends but we have been going there to eat for a few years. We went on a Thursday night. We were seated right away&they weren't busy at all. We sat there for 10 minutes without being greeted or even spoke, too. We had to ask the hostess what was going on. Our waitress did not apologize for the delay. We got our drinks&I got a diet Pepsi. Occasionally you might have bad luck when the drink is running out or there's another issue but this was flat out disgusting. The waitress said she loves Pepsi products but can't stand the way the drinks taste, so I got water. We then ordered our food. When they brought it out, my Dads hamburger bun was completely smashed. He never ever complains, and the girl who brought the food said dont blame me and walked off. I got a Philly Cheesesteak, which I have had before. It was so greasy I couldn't believe it, and the onion rings we had to pay an extra 3 dollars for we're cold. My daughter got The American sandwich. I think that's what it's called. It has ham, turkey, baco, etc. She got so sick when we got home and had a terrible upset stomach. When we finally got our check we were shocked that the cheapest tip suggestion was 18 percent. food is okay. nothing special though. bun is too small for burgers. tomatoes have too much white in the middle. they put the tomato against the bun (everyone knows you're supposed to put the lettuce against the bun so the tomato doesn't get the bun extra soggy). I chose cheddar (not American) for my burger and they only sprinkled a tiny bit on my burger. shredded lettuce on a burger?! enough said. fries were good though. but the off-brand ketchup tasted like sugar and corn syrup. water tastes strange here. I've never tasted toilet water but i imagine that's what it tastes like. entire restaurant smells strong like mold. I would be afraid to work here due to the mold, the smell smacking you in the face when you walk in. Manager didn't change my coins to a dollar for the crane claw machine because some pennies were included in my dollar worth of change. never heard of a business accepting cash but not all cash, lol. I want to love Friends Grill so bad but it's just potential; nothing special. best thing about this place is the kind waitresses. everything else could improve! i likely won't return, but I'll bet you...
