This is constructive criticism for the owners of Las arenitas sushi. Please take it in that spirit and succeed! I ordered for sushi and a cooked roll. To the roll... A la playa roll. Tasty but it needs the following changes. The mango sauce needs more sugar and more vinegar it needs to pop in order to offset the heavy flavors of the Roll itself. The breading of the Roll needs to be panko crumbs not the traditional Mexican or American breadcrumbs. Black sesame seeds add a nice visual touch but do nothing for the flavor. What is needed is Tobiko or other fish roe. To the sushi: I ordered salmon snapper unagi and yellowtail. All fish is Grade B, which is not all that different from grade A, but it was thin portions and slightly substandard. The real issue is the rice: it has no flavor and is too dry it requires moisture provided by mirin and or rice vinegar sugar solution. Mirren is the preferred standard treatment for good grade sushi rice. It is available through Food Service distributors. The customer service was fine presentation was fine. Please improve the food quality and you have a winning recipe for...

Some in our group ordered tacos, which were overwhelmed with onions and barely had meat. On top of that, the restaurant felt uncomfortably hot, as if the air conditioning wasn’t working.
It’s especially frustrating considering we drove over an hour to eat here. Sadly, it was an overall disappointing experience and not one...
Read moreOk, so I came for lunch today, July 12, 2022 So my wife and I decided to share a molcajete dish which we were enormously disappointed with the food. The chorizo was raw, so I went to look for the server, I told her the situation about the chorizo, and she came with a little plate, asking me to give it to her so she could take it back to the kitchen; I thought she will going to provide me with another chorizo, but no, she came back with the same chorizo she stated the cook dipped into the fryer which to my understanding the chorizo is supposed to cook either grill or broiler not deep-fried. Another thing when the server brought us the molcajete was that the stone bowl was warm to the touch, which is supposed to be boiling. Which it wasn't. bottom line we were disappointed wwith the food...
