Walking in, all seemed fine. Wait staff was so very welcoming. Cook back there even joked around with us. Shortly after, some older woman came around and put an end to that. She was very short tempered and annoyed with our presence. As she came to our table, she wanted to leave our table because she felt that we "needed more time". All I wanted to know was what type of meat she had for tacos, tortas, or gorditas. She told me, that steak is "asado". Being frome Houston, steak is not called "asado", it's called fajita. I asked what that was. She, my sister in law and & husband answered my question. Then I said I needed more time, so they could order ahead of me. After they order, the "asado" thing came up and I looked to my husband for reassurance about the meat. She butted in and said " he had already told you what asado was". I was not even speaking to her about it, and she did not have to talk to me that way. She also said "that the customer is not always right" and my sister in law told her that the "customer IS always right when you want to sell" . She then laughed and walked away. Margaritas had salt in them, I didnt finish mine. The meat was bland, and the food was not very good. Save your money. Maybe another "Mexican" restaurant in the Dells...
Read moreThis place was horrible! Don't eat here! I don't normally write reviews but I just had to for this place. I came with the intention of watching the fight. After asking if the fight was going to be played, no mention of an extra fee was ever talked about. It took 20 min before anyone came over to take our order. At this point, we dealt with it because we were going to be able to watch the fight as well as get something to eat. We all ate, had a couple of drinks each, mind you there were four of us. As the fight started, the waiter-not our waiter-came around letting everyone know that there was going to be a fee to watch the fight. Between the food and drinks, we were already at nearly $90. You would have thought that this ridiculously "$15 fee per person " would have been waved. More so, because the food wasn't all that great. This place should be called "Salt on everything" not only the food but the drinks were salty. The drinks! Not to sound redundant but I cant express how bad the food was. To top it off, we caught the waitress cleaning out a tray that had bugs in it. She didn't even wash it. Instead, she placed some fruit inside. Classy move. First and last time I...
Read moreI DO NOT recommend this place at all. Their prices are extremely HIGH! And the plate was barely full with any beans or rice. Not to mention the grown lady lied to me and my husband saying that the burrito had inside cheese and sour cream, when we asked to have a side of sour cream because they didn’t add any in the burritos she said “that will be $1.50 extra” their prices are extremely ridiculously overpriced. Also our baby girl was with us and she was having stomach discomfort and crying so much so we decided to give her some night time gripe water to help her get rid of the stomach discomfort and when we were about to leave our five month old threw up on their floor and the grown lady with a bun mumbled “well why don’t you give her the medicine again and see what happens” EXTREMELY disrespectful like who says that. Our check came out to be $30.85 for a small amount of rice and beans and a small burrito. I would honestly recommend you guys to go to MEXICALI ROSE for almost the same price but better quality. Also this COLOTLÁN RESTAURANT place isn’t even AUTHENTIC like they say. SAVE YOUR...
