Sandy Kakes — Restaurant in Wisconsin Dells

Had my daughter’s birthday this evening, needed a last minute halfway decent cake for her and my niece who share birthdays close together. I walked into the store and was surprised at how relaxed the environment was, very laid back in a good way. They had two cakes available for purchase in the display case, one was white cake with butter cream frosting and the other was a chocolate cake with also buttercream frosting. My daughter and I are not fans of buttercream frosting but this was way different than a Walmart cake indeed, I will never buy another Walmart cake again if I can help it. The frosting was not overly sweet like a lot of buttercreams I have tasted and the cake part on both cakes was so moist and had such a great cake like flavor is the best way I can describe it. I will definitely be returning as a customer and will also be recommending them for sure!

PS: they also responded to my email quickly when I initially contacted them regarding ordering a cake, great customer service all around, having worked in the service industry most of my life I greatly appreciate that...

First I want to start off by saying we are not huge cake people. We didn’t think we would end up even having a traditional cake at our wedding. Well Sandy from SandyKakes changed our mind. Our cake and cupcakes from Sandy were absolutely amazing and the booking process through her was so easy and stressless. For our tasting it was fantastic and we were able to bring along a few others as well which was helpful to get more opinions. We were able to do multiple flavors for a very good price and our cupcakes were absolutely gone at the end of the night! Everyone loved them and we were so happy with our cake. She has a shop and it is safe to say we will be stopping in there to get more very soon :) One additional cool thing she does, she makes you a fresh cake for your one year anniversary so you don’t have to eat stale...

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Sandy Kakes in Wisconsin Dells! She brought our modest cake dream to life perfectly, incorporating our wedding colors in the most stunning way, from a soft lavender at the base to a deep lavender at the top. The flavors were just as amazing as the design. The top tier was vanilla with raspberry filling, and the bottom tier was chocolate with raspberry. It was absolutely delicious and loved by everyone! We enjoyed it so much that we completely forgot to save a slice for our anniversary!
