I ate at The Keg this evening, choosing it because I prefer right now to only eat at restaurants with outdoor seating and their outdoor area is large and looks inviting. We went early at about 5pm and were allowed to seat ourselves. The place was very quiet with probably only 15-20% of seating taken. After a short time a waitress arrived and sort of just flipped some dirty paper menus on the table. She didn’t smile or greet us otherwise. Giving us no time to look at the menu she asked right away for our order and seemed miffed when I asked to look at the menu a bit longer. I asked for a list of beers and she pulled out her own handwritten note of available beers and held it up in front of my face. No drinks menu was offered. We ordered from the somewhat small menu and the food came quickly. It was hot and tasted fine. I then asked about what seemed to be their signature drink called “pour me a vacation.” I asked the waitress what it was and she replied that it was a drink. I said I understood that and asked what was in it. She replied, “alcohol.” Now, the advertisements for this drink were everywhere and even on the T-shirt she was wearing. So I asked what alcohol. She stared blankly at me for an awkwardly long moment before saying she didn’t know and walked away. A moment later she showed up with a drink menu that would have been good to start with and it actually listed the liquors in the drink. Again, this was just held up in front of my face. Apparently a customer can’t actually know what is on the menu. After she walked away I looked around and realized that none of the employees were smiling. Not any of the three other waitresses I saw or the two bartenders. None were chatting with customers or greeting them in a friendly manner. Just vacant and blank. Either they are all unhappy or there is a serious top-down problem here. Maybe that’s why I discovered a lot of nearby restaurants that were much more full that the 20% of tables taken at this place on my stroll around the downtown area after leaving this restaurant. Either way, I...

Review:
I recently visited The Keg & The Patio with high hopes for a delightful dining experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling utterly disappointed and disheartened by the appalling level of service we received. It seemed as if my party and I were completely invisible, as no staff member bothered to approach us or take our orders throughout our entire visit.
Despite the fact that the restaurant was far from busy, we waited patiently, hoping that someone would attend to our table. Minutes turned into what felt like hours, and our anticipation quickly transformed into frustration. It was disheartening to witness the staff's lack of attention and apparent disregard for our presence.
In any establishment, be it busy or not, customers deserve to be acknowledged and served in a timely manner. The fact that we were left waiting without any explanation or apology reflects poorly on the professionalism and commitment of the restaurant's staff. It is regrettable that the restaurant failed to uphold even the most basic standards of customer service.
We had set aside our valuable time and money to dine at The Keg & The Patio, expecting an enjoyable experience. However, the lack of attention and service left us with no choice but to leave without even having a chance to place an order. It is safe to say that our party will not be returning to this establishment in the future.
I sincerely hope that The Keg & The Patio takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure that no other customers have to endure such a disappointing and neglected dining experience. As consumers, we deserve to be treated with respect and consideration, regardless of the establishment's busyness.
Overall, the absence of attentive service and the feeling of being completely invisible made our visit to The Keg & The Patio a thoroughly unsatisfactory one. It is my sincere hope that management addresses this issue promptly to prevent similar instances from tarnishing their...
Read moreTo start, our service was excellent, considering there was only one waitress working while two other employees were hanging out talking at the hostess stand. We ordered the chips, salsa, and queso dip for an appetizer, along with the rest of our meal because the server was so busy. The "queso" was a luke warm at best, canned product. Ok, no problem. I had ordered an open faced burger that also came with what I assumeed to be this same queso. When I caught the server I asked her just to be sure, and she said it was. I told her that I did not want the burger then as I would not eat it to which she replied that the owner would not let me cancel it and that I would have to pay for it. So I asked to speak with him. While she was gone, our food came out. I set my plate aside and waited. After about 5 minutes she made it back to our table and said he would not come out to speak with me and that I will pay for the burger. I told her I would not and asked again to speak to the owner. When she came back again, she repeated the same again, and then said she would just pay for it... SERIOUSLY. What kind of owner would treat their customers or their employees in such a manner! She kept looking over her shoulder at the kitchen as if she was scared. Outrageous!!! At the end she said she would just figure it out. While we were only charged for the rest of the meal, I left her a very nice tip in case she was forced to pay for my meal. The owner of this establishment should be ashamed of himself for his behavior. I'm sure his employee turnover is quite high because of his poor attitude. So very disappointed as I'm a local to this area and love to...
