So they’re soft opening, but they have some things to work out. First, we ordered their $27 steak frites and we asked for it medium. It was on the very side of rare. The Cobb salad is basically tasteless, and both of the people who ordered the chicken pot pie thought it was too salty. Anyway, we may give them another shot once they fully open. We hope they work out the quirks. The environment is great and the service is pretty good, but everything is a bit too expensive for what you get - even for Woodinville. Glasses of wine for $14. Read moreThe Shed is an indoor / outdoor bar & restaurant up on top of the four-floor The SOMM hotel. It is currently doing a soft opening and finding its feet. It is, first of all, a beautiful place to be. I went during an evening. Yes, it took a while to get seated. Yes, they are probably understaffed right now. But it was lovely and unlike any other place on The Eastside that I know of, and the staff were kind and helpful. It's spendy. However, I went back this week to get another, and they had changed the fries and the bread that they use… Not nearly as good as before. They also use acrylic cups for their cocktails which surprised me for a restaurant of this quality. Service was great both times, specifically the guy with the neck tattoo....
