Just left left the Wendy's in Woodland Park about 2:45 pm on Monday 8 January. First time through inside went fine...got my baked potato with free senior coffee as ordered. I eat at this Wendys and others because the food is consistent and the atmosphere is generally condusive to relaxation. Second trip for coffee refill was handled cheerfully and efficiently by the boy at the counter. As i was standing at the counter, the chubby boy in the back yelled loudly something to the effect...'hey, we got more hamburgers back here'. I returned to my seat and noticed the folks next to me accidently dropped a cup of water and ice. The Dad picked up the cup but left the water and ice on the floor in the main walkway. Shortly thereafter, the chubby boy [from the back] walked past the spill, acting as if he did not see it. I said to him in my normal tone of voice...'you might want to pick up that ice before someone slips on it'. His immediate sarcastic retort was...'i am on my way to get the mop right now sir!!!!'...my response was...'no offense, but if i were you, i would pick up the ice now and then go get the mop so no one slips on the ice while you are gone.' He turned around and picked up the ice and exited to the inner workings of the establishment. As of about 6 minutes later, he had not returned with a mop. As i exited the store, i noticed 3 employees leaning against the counter chit chatting. There were no customers. I saw trash on tables, frenchfries on the floor, and the puddle of water on the tile floor in the walkway near the counter. This experience does not change my attitude towards Wendy's. I patronize them 1-2 times per week and usually use the drive thru. If i were the manager of this store, i would call a staff meeting of all employees and read this letter verbatim to the group. I would then point my finger at the chubby boy [from the back] and say...'and you my friend, must either be good or be gone, shape up or ship out.' I would then pause and look each one of them directly in the eyes...and then say to the group...'are there any questions?'...i suspect there would be no questions, but if there were, i would answer them honestly and to the best of my abilities. PS...i am entitled to refer to the chubby boy as 'the chubby boy' because i am 'an...
Read moreI was working delivering 20000phone books in the Colorado springs area including woodland Park. I am from Minnesota and had issues obtaining funds from my bank. Expired credit card. I hadn't eating for 2dsys and was getting very hungry I had funds coming in but not untill the next day. I did have a complimentary good coupon for Wendy's that I got from the Midwest for my charitable work. No better time to use it now when I presented the combo good coupon to the manager he told me he would not accept it as he had not seen this one before while my hot food was sitting right next to him he said to come back next week and see what he could do I would have starved to death by than. I drove off very hungry hurt and angry with this place in woodland Park I do alot for the homeless in regarding to food Once took 300 people during the holiday. To old country buffet they were very accommodating. 5 stars for them When I got my funds I had a nice meal at Safeway off of 31st just before you get to Manitou springs. Bought 50 dollars worth of food for the homeless who stay by the creek near Safeway. I feel slit more compassion for the hungry unlike a Wendy's. Unfortunately I got done with the job and I am back in Minnesota. I hope someone else can pickup the tiorch and help feed the hungry. It is no fun being hungry the phone book man...
Read moreI went through the drive thru. (I manage a business right around the corner and have lunch here about 3x a week.) When I got to work, I took a bite of my sandwich and there was a parchment cheese wrapper in it. I immediately called them and the manager was very sympathetic. She said she would put my name in a "book" and my meal would be replaced. Issue resolved...or so I thought. A few days later on 4/13/19 at about 10:30am I came in and let the girl at the counter know that I was in the book. She immediately became very rude and kept asking me what the name of the manager I spoke to was. I explained that she was a Iady but, that I hadn't caught her name. She lectured me about there being two female managers. Then repeated again "Who did you talk to?" I let her know I was just told to let the staff know that my name was in the book. I asked her if there was some sort of problem. She was very nasty to me. She walked away and came back and said my name wasn't in the book, but that "just this once she'd believe me" and remake my order. I told her at this point I would much rather a refund. She basically accused me of lying and the manager on duty didn't even bother to come talk to me. So I walked out without refund or food and I will not be back. Poorest I have ever been...
