I enjoy Barraco's. I really do. I've been to two Evergreen park locations and the one Chicago location on 111th. All great locations with awesome food and service. But this location through me for a loop with how disorganized they were.
Our visit (party of three) was seated in ur restaurant between 9pm - 930pm today. We stopped in because I recommended Barraco's to my friends while they googled other restaurants.
They front house staff was awesome. No problems nor hiccups. With them anyway but I'll get to that. The issue came after we placed our order. We order an individual spinach mushroom chicken thin crust pizza and the meat special large pizza, also thin crust. 25 mins is the ETA for both pizzas.
Here where the problem started. There must be a discord between the front staff in the back because we ordered two pizzas (individual and large) but only ONE came out. Just one! The waitress sincerely apologized and explained that the kitchen made the smaller pizza but forgot the other which had me perplexed. Like how? The restaurant wasn't crowded. No special party but yet they "forgot" to make our large pizza. Smh.
The waitress offered to get us another pizza (which was the pizza we order but the literally just put it in the oven) and comp us a few appetizers. So we ordered fries and pizza bread. My buddy had the pizza bread and enjoyed it. I had the fries. They were ok. Just fries, nothing special.
Few minutes later, our originally ordered meat specialty pizza arrived. We asked for boxes to take it to go. We had stuck around long enuff and were ultimately ready to go after the huge kitchen snafu. How u forget a whole pizza order? We were discounted for the pizza. The pizza was tasty as always.
This location needs some work with communication between front and back of the house. Cuz seriously, there's no way an order is placed and the back of house forgets a whole large pizza.
The waitress on the other hand tried her very best to redeem the experience with her service and attentiveness. I appreciated that she took the L for pizza maker/chefs in the back. She's truly one of the diamonds on ur staff helping u guys to shine.
Please fix the kitchen issue.
SN... Is there only one restroom in the establishment? I didn't explore but there was one unisex restroom across...
Read moreI'll never come back to this location ever again! In fact, ALL Barraco's locations have lost me as a customer (and the friend that I was with as well). Don't waste your time or hard earned money. Also, check Yelp BEFORE you go out to eat.
My friend and I got seated by the hostess and a strange lady comes up to us and asks, "Why are you sitting here? Where did you come from?" (She worked there)
A waitress came and took our order. The pizzas were going to take 25 minutes for my friends pizza and 35 minutes for mine. We told the waitress, that there was no need to wait for both pizzas to be finished and to bring them out when they are cooked. My pizza was the first to come out (which was the 35 minute pizza) my friends order never came out. We were told that there was a mishap, and that they were making it over again, but it wouldn't take long. It should be less than half hour. After waiting over an hour for her pizza, we told them that we didn't want the pizza any longer and that we just want the bill. We were told that they couldn't cancel the order because the kitchen was making it. And the it would be about another 10 minutes for it to come.
We were told that they would give us a 5% discount for her pizza being remade and for the wait. We asked to speak to the manager. She came to the table and told us that there was nothing that they could do because it was their policy. Because we agreed to wait for the pizza an hour earlier, they couldn't stop the order and we were responsible to pay for it. Our waitress didn't bother to refill the ice tea without being asked. The dishes were never cleared off the table from the bread. We didn't get napkins, silverware, red pepper flakes and cheese until we asked for them. The waitress admitted that she didn't pay much attention to us.
All in all, lunch was NOT enjoyable. The food and service...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of ordering delivery from Barraco's Pizza, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, my experience with their pizza left me craving for more. Firstly, the delivery service was prompt and efficient. The pizza arrived at my doorstep piping hot, thanks to the careful packaging that ensured it remained fresh and intact during transit. Kudos to Barraco's for their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. Let's talk about the star of the show. We ordered the thin crust pizza with pineapple, jalapeño, and sausage. Oh boy, was it a mouthwatering delight! The combination of these unique toppings created a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate with every bite. The first thing that caught my attention was the crispy yet tender thin crust, just the right amount of cheese, perfectly melted and golden brown. Which acted as the perfect canvas for the medley of ingredients. The addition of pineapple added a subtle touch of sweetness, perfectly complementing the savory sausage. But what truly elevated this pizza to a whole new level was the jalapeño. Its mild heat and tangy undertones provided a tantalizing kick, balancing out the flavors and giving the pizza an exciting twist. The harmonious blend of sweet, spicy, and savory was a taste sensation like no other. My experience was outstanding. The delivery was prompt, the pizza was packed with so much flavor and the combination of pineapple, jalapeño, and sausage on the thin crust was a delectable masterpiece. I highly recommend giving this unique combination a must try, it will undoubtedly leave you craving for more. Whether you're a pizza enthusiast or someone looking for a unique flavor adventure, Barraco's Pizza is the place to go. I will definitely be ordering from them again, and I encourage others to...
