Worst experience in a MichoacĂĄna ever, I went inside there was One lady attending a family, the lady seen me walking inside, after I got there a guy went inside and was waiting as well. Once the family finished ordering the lady went straight with the guy instead of me I was going to say something but I heard the guy only asking for one thing and figured it's going to be fast I don't mind, then someone else came to help the lady and she asked who's next by this time other people had walked in, I said I was next and the lady who was already there who had gone with the guy instead of me told the girl that the other people who had just gotten there was there before me. I looked at her and I said I got here first and even the people that was there said no it's her turn she was here before us. I placed my order but I was already feeling uncomfortable and upset because the way they were acting and the attitude I was receiving, I placed my order and I asked for some fresas con creama and I noticed the girl didn't put any toppings on them and I asked her and she said any toppings were extra charge. I have been to many many MichoacĂĄnas here in Illinois and other states and I have never been charged for toppings on fresas con creama I understand if I ask for extra toppings but there was nothing on them. The girl who was attending me asked the lady who had ignored me if she could put any topping and she told her" no they're extra she needs to pay for them" with an attitude. At this point i just wanted to tell them if they didn't wanted to attend me or take my business they could just say something just didnt wanted to make a scene since there was a lot of people there and I had my kids with me. I told them that was all and I was ready to pay, as I was paying the lady who had ignored me since the begging walked by the cashier and looked at me and gave me a dirty look.
I was to nice at this point because I didn't say anything to them, I should've just walked out and kept my money and could've have gone to cold stone right across the street which is way better and I have never received bad service from them, even when there's a big line and they're taking so many clients at a time, they always attend me with a smile. I don't know what they're problem was and just that type of attitude and service shouldn't be allowed in a place where your constantly going to be taking clients. I regret stopping by this place so much, because they seriously ruined my evening just because their nasty attitude. The owner should do better interviews and check who he hires for the business since they're basically the face of the business. I'm not coming to this place and spend my money...
Read moreIt took me a while to come to terms to leave this review, but as I see how reviews focus on the young staff I think itâs important to shed some light on the real issue. As a Latina whose family came to the US from âMichoacĂĄn,â I believe in supporting our local business ownersâen especial a nuestra gente.
I find it disgusting when our own treat their staff terribly. This establishment has the power to educate, motivate and empower the young Latinas that walk through the door for employment but instead they treat them terribly. The owners love to excercise their position of power over these young girls and show no respect to their workers. The owners need to be educated on the power of influencing and winning their staff so the staff can succeed. Instead, the owner wants to give herself a 5-Star review WHILE calling her staff irresponsibleâwhat does this say?
I would invite Univision, NBC 5 Investigates, and other networks to not report from the outside but instead dig deeper to the real issues in the inside. As she states, La Michoacana is growing, this is as a result of the wonderful snack items that our culture brings and not a reflection of the service or the owners.
Iâm interested in knowing what are they doing within the communities they reside in given their success.
Our community needs to work together to educate our youth not treat them the way this establishment treats them. You are right when you say these girls are inexperienced, this is a result of the high turnover rate in addition to the lack of training. Not to mention, some of these girls work 12+ hours. Show these young girls you care about them and you will succeed!
Itâs a disappointment to see our own be...
Read moreTerrible service due to a very rude employee. I ordered a mangonada, juice, and corn- I asked for a #8 juice and she gave me a #7; I kindly pointed this out to her and she became frustrated saying that she was giving me what I had ordered- I looked at the menu and read her the ingredients of the #8 which was not what I had been given; she didnât say anything and went to remake it; the second time she made the juice she didnât add an ingredient, when I mentioned this to her she became angry again saying that it didnât come with the ingredient I mentioned (âÂĄseñora, no viene con pepino!â). I once again referenced back to the menu on the screen as it was the second ingredient on the description to which she walked away without saying a word and aggressively poured half of the drink out to add the missing ingredient (Meanwhile my Poor mangonada was still on her counter melting). The employee seemed visibly angry when she finished with the juice and told someone at the register to make our corns and walked away. At the register, the person I was with mentioned the rude behavior of the employee, to which they told us it was because they were âstressed.â Iâm not sure why they were stressed if there was only 3 people behind me and 4 employees working; but even If she was stressed it doesnât excuse...
