MANAGER ON DUTY TONIGHT WAS HORRIBLE.SHE NEEDS TO BE RETRAINED. My son was on the phone with rep.he was told that bacon was an upcharge and considered 2 toppings.I asked the girl ok so if it is considered two toppings and I have to pay more make sure there is more than a sprinkle of bacon on my pizza.Recieved pizza there was not enough bacon on pizza to be considered a topping.Called spoke to manager she told me to come to store.Went to store she did not like what I had to say.Seeing that I am a chef I can tell that I did not get my money worth on the topping aparently she said she was mad because of how I questioned her teenage customer service rep.I told her it is her job to answer my questions.I feel that my question was valid since the bacon was not included in the 6.99 special and I had to pay extra.There was an exchange of words she was mad and so was I I feel that she could have handled the situation better and she needs to be trained in de-escalation .She has lost a customer and I will tell everyone about the horrible service she gave tonight.Seeing that this location already does not wear gloves when preparing food I have been a little skeptical about ordering food from there because of sanitary concerns.but my kids love thier pizza.This experience has sealed the deal.You really need to hire better managers and get your customer ratings up that location is like a 2.5 star it is sad but now I know why.They do not strive to please and make sure their customers are satisfied.She may do better in a different position not dealing with customers.She slammed the drive thru doors and refused to show me exactly what I payed for.She claims there is a picture of the pizza since she made it herself.I did not get her name but she was the only manager on duty tonight.(OH I SENT THIS...
Read moreTwice now I've ordered Thin Crust Pies and twice now they've been drenched falling to bits upon receipt and undercooked, box soaked. Yes, I ordered a little extra sauce and next time will not, but even so, they arrived too quickly within (20) minutes, don't think they had time to bake properly and process was rushed. Threw both boxes away, and used individual paper towels to try and salvage these pieces and dry them out a bit in large rubber made container, will take pictures next time, but rushed to get this done. I don't leave too many reviews, but this order for two speciality thin crust pizzas was almost $50.00 and all I got was basically smorgasbord of ingredients to make soup with..Don't get me wrong, the ingredients were good and tasty, but using your hands to fish all of them out of a drenched box is disgusting...7/8/2025 update: Hungry Howies response is incorrect to me. I have ordered extra sauce in the past for thin crust pies and if baked proper length of time, they usually turn out much better than soggy, to where you can pick them up folding the slices in 1/2, like normal do. They got to my front door in record time, like within 15 minutes of placing the order, that was the problem and why I suspect the bake did not complete. Should have taken 1/2 hour - 1 hour or has in the past, not 15-20 minutes. Next time I will only ever order single sauce or 1x NOT 2x, but 3x crust flavor has nothing to do with the pie...
Read moreI’ve been a customer of Hungry Howie’s for years. This location in Zephyrhills you can only order for takeout or delivery. OK that’s one thing.
I usually order the wings and I started really liking the cheese bread over the spicy bread that normally comes with it, So I started ordering the cheese bread in place of the spicy bread.
Every other Hungry Howie’s I’ve been to for years you could swap that out but this particular location would not allow me to do that.
OK fine So I placed my order.
15 minutes later I returned to pick up my order instead of the normal $15.00 charge they charged me $21.00.
After I drove away and checked my order, I had the spicy bread plus the cheese toast and the wings.
When I initially went to pick up my order, to the person taking my order that I had been a customer for years, and this is the only location that would not allow me to make the swap, she said she checked on it and they wouldn’t allow her to do it, With a condescending smirk on her face, I might add.
