Cake Lab — Restaurant in Tashkent

I come here quite often as their bread is delicious and they make very good desserts, however I was a little disappointed recently when I made a small pick-up order via their Telegram bot.

Even though I specified the time (an hour after I made the order) I’ll be picking up my food, I arrived to nothing and had to show my order slip to the people working there and wait for them to actually make it.

I understand that paying cash means that people might not come to pick up their order, however I don’t understand the point of having the option if the food isn’t going to be ready for pick-up when I get there.

That one incident aside — the store tends to be very crowded, so the service tends to be quite slow as well. The workers are usually running around trying to help everyone, so my complaint is mainly to the management of the store. If you know that your store is full of customers, why won’t you hire more people to allow your workers to rest and help speed up service time?

They have very delicious cakes. But SERVICE IS AWFULL!!!. They serve without order. Never order cake for an event because they will spoile the whole holiday by not delivering cake timely (I had to wait 3 hours in 31st of December) or offering absolutely different cake instead. I ordered birthday cake 2 weeks in advance with 100% prepayment. I came to appointed time, and they say "There was a mistake, you can take this choko cake instead of cheesecake. Take this or go". No...

It was really nice. I took a chicken sandwich and it was really testing. Place is small. Staff and owner are nice and helpful. I recommend.

Edit: I came back during a busy period and you will wait for sure to get a table, order, get the meals and pay. Food also doesn't come at the same time. Furthermore, it is a small place so do not come with a large group ! There are only 6 tables...
