Fuji Tempura IDATEN Da Nang — Restaurant in Đà Nẵng

Had a later lunch. Initially ordered 4 mains and 1 maki to share. After 2 of the main dishes arrived, the waitress then informed us that there was no more chirashi don and asked if we would like the order to be changed. As we were the only customers apart from 1 other individual at that time, the dishes still took a very long time as it seemed that the chef would cook each dish individually prior to moving on the next dish.

Food wise, the stir fried udon kimchi with pork was pretty good whereas the rest of the dishes were not too fantastic. Katsu don wise, the pork was very tough, making it difficulty to bite though. The rice in the deep fried tempura roll did not hold together well and breaker apart easy as well, seemingly done in a hurry with bits of tempura batter throw over it. Lovely restaurant with attentive staff and amazing udon/soba. The soup base for the noodle soup is incredible! My husband prefers the handmade udon, while I prefer the soba noodles. The thick, bouncy udon noodles are a wonderful texture, but I liked the soba because I felt like they absorbed more of the broth flavor. Both are amazing though. I got the meat (pork) soba, my husband got the tempura udon. You can't go wrong with either. We also tried the tempura steak rice, veggie tempura, and gyoza on another visit. The steak was very nice but I don't feel like it needed to be tempura fried. The batter didn't stick to the meat, but it was perfectly cooked. Veggie tempura was mostly good, but corn on the cob wasn't so great. I wish the mushroom stalk was cut into smaller pieces. Tomato was amazing though! Gyoza is very nice, worth getting.
