Hello 👋, I was with a friend of mine in this sushi restaurant, let's start with the atmosphere of the place, small but pleasantly furnished, you want to come in and stay to eat, the staff, I had the pleasure of being served by the girl, friendly and tries to put you at ease and advise you in choosing the best dish. Now we come to the most important thing, the food, you have to know how to make sushi and have the raw material, the fish, fresh and with tasty cuts, the rice must also be the same for sushi, this place has everything to have good food, in fact it is a place where I will return and bring other friends to eat excellent sushi. The price is appropriate for the good sushi they ate, you have to pay for good fish if you want to eat well! I also have to compliment the girl who served me, because I had also ordered some sushi to be delivered to my friend's hotel, they made a mistake in the delivery and the Sushilab girl apologized and told me she would give me remade the same order and sent it to the right place at his expense, I shouldn't have had to pay for this mistake!! I told the girl that she didn't have to worry, she was fine like that! So for the food and for the honesty, kindness and professionalism of this girl, SUSHILAB deserves a nice 5⭐️ overall, I gave 4 ⭐️ for the service because they must learn that these mistakes must not be made because they risk losing money and customers, but they are good guys and deserve their place to always be full of satisfied customers! We dropped in one day from the glaring heat to grab a small bite to eat and a water to rehydrate from the hot Hanoi sun. Next thing you know we were bowled over with a delicious eel dish, that saw us both promise one another, and the owner, that we were going to be back the next day. True to our word we did, however this time we over ordered and had to take some home.

SushiLab in Hanoi is truly something special. Every bite was a celebration of freshness to us and creativity, from the melt-in-your-mouth salmon and kingfish sashimi to the beautifully crafted nigiri, which was absolutely out of this world. Some of the local fusion dishes, even incorporating cheese, were surprisingly delightful — a perfect blend of innovation and tradition that just worked. That was a first for me.

One of the most memorable parts was the unique way the food arrived — freshly prepared upstairs and delicately lowered down through an upstairs window on a fine wire in a branded SushiLab box. It was quirky, fun, and somehow added even more charm to the whole dining experience.

The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean, the atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish, and it’s perfectly located right beside Train Street, adding that unmistakable Hanoi energy.

Omni eatery with a full page of vegan options in the menu (contains alliums by default). Loved that the sushi came in stunning rainbow colours and gorgeous presentation! The taste was outstanding, uniquely crafted (mainly with natural ingredients) and delicious without attempting to mimic conventional sashimi-style sushi. Even my omni companions were charmed by the vegan options and agreed they tasted good. Personally would recommend the rolls instead of the temari rice balls, as the rolls had more generous fillings and toppings. It would be great if the eatery could also have other combo sets available, since the menu featured an extensive selection of vegan rolls and I really wish I could have tried them all! Staff could speak English well, so I believe it may be possible to check with them on different dietary preferences such as customising allium-free dishes.
