Do NOT support this business! This owner/employee from this place was just in the main entrance for the train tracks where you should be able to enter for FREE to go to ANY restaurant you want to, but he was standing there aggressively saying whether you go to his restaurant or you could NOT get in! We had to wait until he managed to scam another tourist so we could go up and finally go to the cafe we wanted to go!!!! You can message the place you want to go and they can pick you up in the track entrance too. If any issues you can call the tourist police or just go around and find another entrance!
Editing: after the non sense response from the business, I must say reinstate that no, they do NOT work hard, they try to SCAM people right on the track entrance saying aggressively that you CANNOT pass the entrance unless you go to his restaurant! Good businesses don't need to FORCE you to go there! Make sure you don't trust the fake reviews and filter by the lowest rating and you'll see the same type of...
Read moreThis place is a must when in Hanoi! We looked for it based on reviews online when we were looking for lunch on our first day and couldn’t have been happier! It is on the famous train street and there are guards who try to keep tourists from walking there so you have to say you are going to a specific restaurant. Ms. Huong came to meet us and showed us to a table.
The service was spot on and she gave us lots of recommendations. We ended up getting the meat and vegetarian nem, a beef bahn mi, the fried chicken and bun cha. There were multiple types of hot sauce available. Everything was so good! After we finished she offered us some delicious Vietnamese candy.
This place is very family friendly and everyone is sure to enjoy! Overall this was an amazing start to our dining experience in Vietnam and couldn’t recommend it more. Thank...
Read moreIf you're after experience to dine/drink by the train street, would definitely recommend this. Firstly, the host ensures your safe arrival to the restaurant by the train track. We reached out to host ahead of time on same day, asked for table for dinner at time of train schedule to pass by. We indeed were given table on the street where train passes, and train went by ~30 min after we sat down. In fact we saw two trains drive by in the 75 minutes we sat here. Additionally, host met us just outside the train track by gates which block access for pedestrians and safely took us to the restaurant. Communication via Google maps was very easy, host speaks relatively good English.
Lastly, both me and my partner enjoyed our food and beer. Prices match those of streets in the city, not a rip off although based in such...
