This place was recommended to me by my local airbnb host, as she said that it was a lot more affordable compared to the more touristy store in Hoi An.

True enough, the skewers were a lot more reasonably priced (60k for 5), and it came with a huge side of rice wraps, fresh greens, and some pickled cabbage and carrots. In comparison, these skewers cost about 20-30K each at the more touristy areas, without any sides.

The owner was very accommodating, and allowed me to mix and match skewers as I went alone. Service was amazing, and the store is in the middle of a local neighbourhood.

It’s hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads, and it really adds to its charm. Perfect for a family meal, or a gathering with friends as it’s not to noisy to have a conversation...

Recommended by our walking tour guide, this is a small local spot just on the fringe of the old town. Popular amongst the locals staying nearby. The owner is super friendly and smiley, and tried earnestly in his limited English, to explain to us how to enjoy the food. They didn’t have any coke light, and went out of their way to get us some. Everyone was so friendly. The food, delicious. The grill is right by the eating area, so be prepared to leave smelly just like the bbq meat you just consumed. The only meat available are pork and shrimp. My friend doesn’t take pork, and the owners were helpful to leave it out of his banh xeo.

Beautiful family-run restaurant, nestled in the quiet streets of Hoi An. They are warm and welcoming as you arrive and offer gorgeous smiles. They are friendly and very accomodating.

Really quality, flavourful Vietnamese home style cooking. We had the platter and we’re so glad we did. From the skewers, to the crispy pancakes, to the fresh pickled vegetables, everything was delightful. We cannot stop thinking about the sauces and how delicious they were.
