Spent a week at Vietnam and this place is the best for us because very delicious among all restaurant we visited!
You can find the location exactly like on google maps but its inside an alley, very easy to access using motorbike or bicycle.
We did came twice for breakfast and lunch take away.
During breakfast we ordered vietnamese pancake, hoi an style noodle, and hoi an style smoothie.
The vietnamese pancake very crispy and tasty dipped to the sauce, I think they use some kind of different rice paper to make it very crispy because the rice paper not have pattern like the one found on market.
As for hoi an style noodle is amazingly tasty, the combination of thick noodle, crispy topping, fresh vegetables, poured with its tangy sauce mixed together is dancing in the mouth, if you are a type of person who like thicker noodle compared to thin usual one at other restaurant, this one worth to try.
Hoi an style smoothie was thick and filling, suitable to drink after exploring around and feel hungry.
Lunch takeaway we ordered fresh spring roll and tempeh banh mi, we also ordered guava juice, crackers, and vegan cheese for snack while waiting.
Spring roll still taste fresh when we ate during our flight and dipping sauce not rot, meanwhile tempeh banh mi crispiness is reduce because take away (but already expect it) as for the filling taste good even I cannot taste the usual tempeh soybean taste which usually has kinda strong "soybean" feel like tempeh in my country.
Crackers was crispy paired with vegan cheese which has a little bit sour aftertaste which was okay, and guava juice is refreshing.
The dining place is semi outdoor and has medium size area, so not very cramped.
Service was good because of friendly and not rude.
In overall, highly recommend this place and I hope in future can visit again this place.
Unfortunately during our visit no cake available, since it's also interesting to try based on the menu...
Read moreI had such an incredible time at the vegan cooking class today – it truly exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the entire experience felt thoughtfully planned out.
We started with a visit to the local market, which was an absolute highlight. It wasn’t just about picking up ingredients – we got so much insight into local produce, traditions, and vegan alternatives. It really added depth and context to everything we cooked later on. The ingredients were super fresh and full of flavor, and you could tell that a lot of care had gone into sourcing them.
Back in the kitchen, the cooking instructions were clear, well-paced, and easy to follow – even for beginners. Há did an outstanding job guiding us through each step. Her English was flawless, which made it really easy to understand her explanations and ask questions without hesitation. She created such a relaxed and supportive environment that everyone felt comfortable participating and having fun.
The whole team was absolutely fantastic – so friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. But Há really made the experience unforgettable. Her open-hearted, kind, and engaging personality brought a special energy to the class. She has a natural talent for connecting with people, and thanks to her, the whole experience felt personal and meaningful.
If I had to mention one tiny area for improvement, it would be that the knives could have been a bit sharper, and the cutting boards weren’t the most ideal. But honestly, that’s just a minor detail – it didn’t take away from the fun or the quality of the experience in any way.
I would join this class again in a heartbeat and recommend it without hesitation to anyone – whether you’re vegan or just curious, experienced or new to cooking. It’s a joyful, delicious, and enriching experience that you...
Read moreWhile on a 3 week trip through Vietnam and Cambodia we visited Hoi An. Despite only 24 hour notice, they were able to get us in to their vegan cooking class.
We put 50% down and paid they rest when we arrived.
The place is so cute and easy to find with the info they provide. Our Grab driver had no issues getting us there. And, it's just outside of old town so the streets nearby are not crazy crowded.
The class started at 1:30pm had a brief intro, then a walk through old town that included history, tips on vegan food, vendors and shops to visit and went to the market where we tried a variety of foods and picked up a few items. It was very hot but they gave us water and hats, which helped. After, we walked back to the restaurant.
The cooking started around 3pm and went until about 6pm. We made three dishes and sauces: spring rolls (the largest ones I've ever seen!), chicken salad and Vietnamese savory pancakes. They also highlighted key ingredients and ways to use them. They taught us skills we didn't know and gave us fresh pineapple juice.
We laughed, smiled, got really into who rolled the best spring roll. We were so happy we went. It was the highlight of our stop in Hoi An.
After class they gave us all the food we made, small souvenirs and sent us a recipe book and tons of photos and videos they took throughout the class.
There was so much food, we took it back to the hotel wth us and it ended up feeding us and four other people, with multiple others trying bites as well. Our group, that we shared it with, agreed that it was their favorite meal of the whole trip and none of them are vegan! (And we had cooked it!)
Thank you to the Chickpea family for a warm welcome, educational experience and an afternoon of laughs. We will never forget you and hope to...
