Read moreI would like to lodge a complaint about the food. Honestly, I have complaints not only about food but also about other things. First, the food came out too cold. If I had a thermometer, the temperature of that food would be much lower than the temperature of the river right in front of me. Broccoli, carrots, and asparagus were so hard that it was difficult for forks to fit properly, and rather than baked, they felt like they were left in the refrigerator for about five hours after being baked. The main dish also shows traces of being baked with a torch after the cheese was placed, but it was equally cold, so when I listened to it with a fork, the whole chunk of cheese was lifted together.
Of course, During dinner, I was able to complain about these complaints. But I didn't because when I was choosing the menu for about five minutes, the manager seemed to bring a tablet and lean against the railing next to me to urge me to order, so I didn't say it because I didn't think it would be meaningful to complain.

Read moreFaifoo Central lived up to the amazing reviews we had heard. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the café’s peaceful setting. Overlooking the river out on the terrace, the location was the perfect escape from the crowds, offering a calm, breezy atmosphere that immediately put us at ease (with a cocktail in hand).
The service exceptional from waitress Dao. We were warmly welcomed like old friends, especially with two teenagers. We were offered helpful suggestions from the menu and even shared stories about local ingredients and cooking traditions, which added a lovely personal touch to the evening. We ended up booking Faifoo cooking class the following day with Chef Susan. This certainly was a family highlight of our holiday.
As for the food—simply unforgettable. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavour. Banana blossom salad plus fresh and fried spring rolls with zingy dipping sauces, each bite celebrated the best of Vietnamese cuisine.
Faifoo is a place where great food, warm hospitality, and a beautiful setting come together perfectly. Hoi An stole our hearts—and this little café played no small part in that. We wish owner Susan all the best for the opening of her next Faifoo restuarant...
