LA BURGER HOIAN — Restaurant in Hội An

On our first evening in Hoi An, our craving for burgers with fries led us to LA BURGER and it was the best decision of our entire vacation. The food tasted fantastic and we have never had such good fries before. On top of that, the owner and chef Lan gave us excellent recommendations on what to do in Hoi An and the surrounding area. And without any tourist rip-offs! You even get recommendations for local specialties from other stores! We came back to Lan's restaurant many times and tasted our way through the menu. She is a chef with heart and soul and only cooks what she loves herself, and you can taste it. She not only serves western burgers, but also very traditional dishes that she prepares with a lot of love. There's something for everyone here, even vegetarians! We ate cheeseburgers with chips, summer rolls, white rose dumplings and not forgetting the wontons! Indescribable. It's also worth mentioning that they have a great selection of different craft beers from the area! We tried them all! Even when we had an emergency and needed assistance in the local language, she was there to help us! She is a pearl and has a heart of gold. Her staff are also all great, always friendly and helpful. My husband and I visited La Burger on our second night in Hoi An to get a break from Vietnamese cuisine. This place is such a hidden little gem and we are so happy we chose to dine here!! It’s tucked away on a small side street in Ancient Town so you wouldn’t necessarily come across it if you aren’t looking for it specifically. We both enjoyed the chicken burger which was superb. Their fresh hand cut fries went perfectly with the burger. All food aside, our server Phuong made our experience truly special. She is the warmest, kindest soul we’ve ever met and truly touched our hearts with her stories and friendship. She was genuinely interested in getting to know us and our culture, but also so excited to teach us about Vietnam culture and her passion for cooking, music, school, amongst many other things! The reviews of this place are off the charts good! We initially IG’d them questions about their beer selection from 7 bridges, which they replied quickly! We did a walk by and chatted with the friendly staff! We returned the next day for a burger and beer!

The classic and cheese burger were great! Cooked perfectly when asked for medium! It’s down a quiet alley which is perfect in our opinion.

As we travel full time it’s nice to get a proper Burger fix!

It’s so refreshing to have people that actually enjoy their job and it shows! So friendly! Service was great! Tam, so sweet! And the owner “Lam”?? Really takes pride in her love of food! 😊
