Hoi An Coffee Roastery is genuinely one of my favorite places in town—a spot I keep coming back to whenever I’m in Hoi An. From the moment I walk through the door, I always feel instantly at ease. The mix of soft lighting, rustic décor, and the gentle hum of conversation create such a welcoming atmosphere that I could happily spend hours here. My favorite place to sit is by the big window, watching the vibrant life of the ancient town drift by, or sometimes upstairs where the view of the river adds this peaceful, almost cinematic quality to my coffee break.
The coffee is honestly some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Their beans come from Vietnam’s highlands and you can really taste the care that goes into every cup. I love the classic Vietnamese drip coffee for its depth and smoothness, but I always treat myself to the coconut coffee—it’s unforgettable. If you’re in the mood for something different, the egg coffee is a unique, creamy experience, and their cakes (especially the banana bread!) are just perfect for pairing with your drink.
But what turns a great café into a favorite is the people. The staff here are not only friendly and attentive, but they also take the time to explain different coffee styles or share local recommendations if you ask. It never feels rushed—you truly feel like a guest rather than just a customer.
I also really appreciate their commitment to ethical sourcing and supporting local farmers. It makes every cup feel even more special, knowing it’s part of a bigger story. Whether I’m reading, people-watching, or catching up with friends, Hoi An Coffee Roastery never disappoints. It’s the kind of place I recommend to everyone I meet in Hoi An, and for me, it’s become a must-visit every time...

We sat outside and the girl "Duyen" couldn't walk a few more steps and deliver our order like a normal person, she always did it from behind, but behind there's a board that acts as a divider between inside and outside, so inside there's another table near the dividing board and from there to the table outside it's far, but she prefers to stretch out and potentially cause an accident than to walk and deliver the order from a safe place. I turned around so many times that I ended up twisting my neck. We had to almost beg her to charge us outside almost by force because my neck hurt and still hurts from the twist. What she likes is to walk as little...
Read moreExcellent coffee, excellent service, gorgeous interior. We had their salted coffee coconut coffee and coconut ice cream coffee. All of them were extremely delicious. The staff were really responsive and service was fast. The feeling in the place is calm and cool. We went back multiple times while we were in Hoi An.
Only thing I would say is that people often go in there trying to sell you tourist tat, (eg pop up cards, bags of cookies/peanuts/coconut) - these people can be quite persistent and will rip you off quite badly if you do give them a chance to, so that is a bit annoying. I recommend a strong ignoring of...
