Homestay Lan Uyên — Hotel in Hội An

Our experience at this homestay was extremely disappointing, despite trying to overlook the issues with a polite smile.

We had booked a room for 9 days (31/01/2025 - 09/02/2025), but unfortunately, we left early and checked into a hotel instead. There was no acknowledgment from the host regarding our early departure or any offer to refund part of the booking amount, which was very unprofessional. Moisture and Mold Problems: The walls showed significant bubbling and signs of dampness, with visible mold in several areas. This raises health concerns, especially for individuals with allergies or respiratory sensitivities. Poor Maintenance: There were noticeable damages to the walls and floors, including cracked tiles and peeling paint. This reflects a lack of basic care and cleanliness. Inappropriate Use of Space: The common areas were cluttered with motorbikes and bicycles, creating a sense of disorganization and neglect. Instead of a welcoming environment, we encountered an untidy, uncomfortable space. Unsafe Exterior: The exterior of the property was concerning, with dangerously tangled electrical wiring and poorly maintained surroundings. This poses serious safety risks for guests. Excessive Smoke: There was a strong presence of smoke from the surrounding area, which made it uncomfortable to breathe, especially for sensitive individuals. Very Small Rooms: The rooms were extremely small, making it difficult to move around comfortably or feel relaxed. Lack of Basic Amenities: Cleanliness was inadequate, and the overall condition of the homestay did not match the expectations set by the listing photos.

Although we tried to maintain a positive attitude, these issues were hard to ignore. We would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and safe stay. Major improvements are needed before it can be considered suitable for...

We choosed this place because it was close to old town and cheap. When we first get to the homestay, the owner greeted us with a smiley face and that made us feel good. The room was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner worked very well. We haven’t seen and insects. Every morning we ate rice noodle provided by homestay and it was so delicious that we ate all day. Also the restaurant they recommended was very delicious. They treated us like their family. When Everytime we ask for help, they tried best to help us. The day we have to check out, they invited us to their family event and provided very delicious food. We felt we were with out family. It was unforgettable experience in my life. It was best place, best people and best experience. Thanks to all the family members~

우리는 이 숙소가 올드타운에 가깝고 저렴하기 때문에이 장소를 선택했습니다. 우리가 홈스테이에 처음 도착했을 때 주인은 우리에게 웃는 얼굴로 대해줘서 기분이 좋았어요. 방은 매우 깨끗하고 편안했어요. 에어컨은 당연히 잘 작동했구요. 한번도 벌레를 못봤어요. 매일 아침 숙소에서 주는 쌀국수를 먹었는데 엄청 맛있었어요. 그래서 매일 먹었지요 그리고 숙소에서 추천해준 음식점이 있었는데 당연히 가족들이 하겠지 라고 생각하고 별로 기대안하고 갔는데 왠걸 너무 맛있었어요ㅎㅎ 숙소 사람들이 모두 저희를 가족처럼 대해줬어요. 저희가 도움을 요청할 때마다 도와주려고 최선을 다하는게 보였어요. 체크 아웃해야하는 날, 은 우리를 가족 행사에 초대하고 매우 맛있는 음식을 제공했습니다. 우리는 우리가 가족과 함께 있다고 느꼈습니다. 내 인생에서 잊을 수없는 경험이었습니다. 최고의 장소, 최고의 사람들과 최고의 경험이었습니다. 모든...

This homestay has a perfect location on the island of An Hội. It's a short walk to the night market, many restaurants, and to Hội An ancient town. It's at the end of the road for cars, and then alleyways connect you to the other roads. It's very quiet.

We received passion fruit welcome drinks when we arrived. Breakfast was good. I had eggs, omelet, banh mi bread with butter and jam. You also get a plate with fruit.

Our room was small but we didn't need or want anything larger. It was good value for the money. The room and bathroom were clean. The water pressure was good. Air conditioning was good. Bed was comfortable. Refrigerator was working. Bicycles are available.

The owner, manager and housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful. The manager,  Hòa, also helped us by getting some bandages from the pharmacy for my wife when she hobbled in with a scrape on her knee.
