Bún Bò Huế 31 — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Yummy noodles. The beef slices here taste very good. Texture is just right. Nice chew and not too tough. The herbs combination is nice and they blanched the herbs for me without me mentioning anything. I guess they did that assuming tourists prefer that. Nice touch.

The place is clean. Saw one staff (the guy in brown shirt standing on the left in the first photo) keep it clean continuously even taking effort to sweep the leaves off the road porch in front of the shop and also any stray leaf that flew into the shop’s floor. Needless to say- you didn’t see any tissue paper on the floor which is rare for Vietnamese standards. The shop was very clean as a result. That guy deserves a pay raise as he was bettering the environment when there were no other customers around. Very pro active good employee.

The soup taste great and portion is great. Would however suggest for the chilli to be put into a jar that has a lid… might be more appealing to customers. Would wholeheartedly recommend the beef noodle here. Also abundant fans to keep the place well ventilated is a plus point.

Note to the Boss: please eliminate your policy of needing to pay extra for the wet tissue… You can consider providing dry tissue instead of wet wipes. Cos I ate at a streetside store by the road, and even they provided packeted wet wipes for customers.. they don’t even have a proper roof like your beautiful restaurant, but even they provide those big wet wipes with a cover sort. The food was disappointing. I expected more from all the ratings. Portion was small but that’s fine. The soup was lukewarm. Noodles felt hard as if it wasn’t boiled at all. like other Quán's you won't expect much service so just make your way in and grab their attention to order
