Holy moly, didn't expect to find such an awesome bagel experience in Vietnam!
I got a Melbourne latte coffee and a roasted pumpkin bagel (they have a vegan version too)
The team is super sweet and accommodating, and speak excellent English.
The ambiance and decor is retro and really orange, with an old school Nintendo style gaming consoles to keep the young and young and heart busy till their bagel arrives. The music is pop style and upbeat, extremely trendy spot and super Instagrammable. They have two levels, downstairs has two tables and upstairs has enough seating to accomodate 30 people( there's also a big group table upstairs) and a couple of high balcony chairs overlooking the beautiful garden across the street.
Let's get to the food and coffee now: wow! The bagel bread is just perfectly crispy, flavourful and the inside of the bagel came with avocadoes, bell peppers, rocket leaves and some mayo style condiments(you can choose from a list of sauces).
The coffee was well made and came with good latte art, I'd say it was living up to it's Melbourne name.
Personally, I'd have the pumpkin separately, but you do you. The taste and quality was top knotch and tasty enough for me to do a double take as to where I was having this, it's actually that good!
Bagel brothers left nothing to be desired and any self respecting bagel lover visiting HCMC should drop in for a bite or two....
Read moreIf you’re in the mood for bagels that are almost bagels, but not quite, this is your place.
They’re not kettle-boiled, which means what you’re actually eating is more like a “bagel-inspired bread ring.” Think of it as a bagel in cosplay: it’s dressed the part, but deep down you know it’s faking it.
The cream cheese, however? Absolute rockstar. If the bagels are the awkward opening act fumbling with their guitars, the cream cheese is Beyoncé headlining the show. It’s so good, it makes you question if the bagels are just there as a legal vehicle to transport cream cheese into your mouth. 😅
We even tried the gluten-free bagel, because apparently we like to live dangerously. Shockingly, it was… fine? Again, cream cheese carried the entire experience like a superhero dragging its useless sidekick out of trouble.
So yeah, come here if you want “bagels” that are basically edible excuses to eat phenomenal cream cheese. If you’re looking for authentic, kettle-boiled glory? Keep walking, champ.
Price was alright, place was not full, great ambience. They even had some small tabletop games on the top floor. Service was great. They accept tap...
Read moreThis is an eye catching (bright orange exterior) shop across from the park that specializes in a large assortment of fresh bagels including salmon and sour cream, avocado and chicken and bacon and egg. In addition they have a nice variety of refreshments including fresh juices and coconut water along with decadent baked goods such as cinnamon buns and brownies. I had the smoked salmon with cream cheese and capers on a sesame seed bagel plus an egg, avocado and cheese on a poppyseed bagel and fresh coconut water. The bagels were soft and tasty and the toppings were all fresh and provided in generous quantities. The staff at the shop was very friendly, efficient and English speaking. The restaurant had both upstairs and downstairs seating and was meticulously clean with each floor having a desktop computer available for use. The second floor washroom was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this place to those that enjoy delicious fresh bagels prepared by courteous staff in a clean laid back...
