Little SaiGon Restaurant & Pub — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Actually a nice location, especially the roof top. But the service is very inattentive and poorly organized. We ordered food and drinks and had to wait in the hot temperatures until one of the dishes came but no drinks. Only when we asked to finally get something to drink, things started to move. One by one, the other dishes arrived. One was wrong and we were told it was morning glory like we ordered. We said it wasn't, the waiter said he'd have to check with the kitchen first. Don’t you know what you are serving? If it’s yellow and red it is very likely no morning glory (or one you shouldn’t eat anymore). Then he went back down the two floors with the food and back up again to ask us if we didn't want the wrong food anyway, which had now been carried all over the house several times (but no sorry and no word that it was for free). As it turned out, the dish was for another table, which was then given the food for free (this table is also where our morning glory has ended up, by the way).

Ordered drinks on sitting down then the waitress hovered while we went over the food menu. She finally left but not for the drinks. When the food arrived, one half of the table's came 20 minutes before the other so that half of us had tepid meals. Still no drinks. But we asked again. The tepid stir fry steak would have been good if still warm; the spaghetti bolognese fell out of a can, maybe Heinz, possibly Campbells.

For most of the time, there were seven staff on the floor with five customers -- at one point, some more staff came from an upstairs room so that there were nine on the floor to five customers. Still no drinks.

Waiting for the drinks became a game for a little while but became boring quickly so, ultimately, we left and next door got our drinks money.

Edited review. Whilst we enjoyed the food, what happened afterwards has really soured our experience. We paid by card, only to be told that they've had trouble processing Mastercard and it probably won't work, so could we pay in cash. We did. But the card worked. We were told it is going to reverse within 20 hours. It did not. We were told to contact the owner if it does not and it will be sorted out. We did. It was not sorted. There was no response to multiple emails, to multiple phone calls, to Facebook messages, or posts on their page. Nothing. When we did eventually manage to get someone on WhatsApp, they promised to sort it, only to basically deny the charge appeared on their bank account. Well, it's definitely still on my bank account!
