Atmosphere is nice. But too bad they did not win my loyalty tonight, because when I find a vegan restaurant that I like, I tend to go there often.
I have some complaints.
Too expensive for the food relative the quantity and quality.
To wash my hands, I had to walk up two flights of stairs to the restroom.
We ordered an original kombucha, it was not sweet, and it tasted like it had alcohol in it. I don’t know for certain wether that it has alcohol or not. Some kombuchas have it. Usually, it’s removed to a low level. If so, then it needs to be cautioned at point of sale and when requested. It was not sour and did not have a vinegar taste. Alcohol is not on the label as one of the ingredients. I and a friend we could not drink it. I only had a sip. The server refused to refund it because we already ordered it. We were not satisfied with the product.
They also did not serve us water for free. We’d have to pay for bottled water which is not a very green practice.
Maybe if you served water as a courtesy with a meal, and if you refunded our Kombucha, I would have had a better experience. Also keep in mind to accommodate people with disabilities by having a restroom and washroom on the main floor.
Next time, do the right and the fair thing. Don’t make it a hassle to ask for a refund and don’t refuse a refund request. Focusing on immediate gain, may cause long...
Read moreBe An Vegetarian Café is a contemporary upscale restaurant nestled in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, offering a delightful array of traditional Vietnamese dishes with a vegetarian twist. The spacious three-floor layout, including outdoor seating, provides ample room for groups and creates a chic, modern atmosphere.
The extensive menu caters to diverse tastes, featuring both local specialties and Western pasta options. Standout dishes include the Be An Pate and the visually stunning Jiggly Tofu Pudding Pandan dessert, both pleasing to the eye and palate. While the high-quality cuisine comes at a premium, the experience justifies the cost.
Welcoming staff and efficient service enhance the dining experience, making it suitable for special occasions. The restaurant's commitment to convenience is evident in its acceptance of credit cards and provision of free Wi-Fi.
Be An Vegetarian Café is highly recommended not only for vegetarians but also for non-vegans looking to explore flavorful plant-based cuisine in an...
Read moreMy low review is not for the flavor of the food because it was actually good! -My low review is due to the bad service, we ordered fried spring rolls and as soon as they put them on the table I saw a hair on one of the rolls, I told the waiter and they offered to cancel the order or make them again, we went for the second option (we hope they did make them again and didn’t just remove the hair!), at the end they offered 20% discount. -The price they charged for every meal doesn’t correspond to the menu they advertised online ( I don’t remember the price of the menu in the restaurant though), also the prices you see doesn’t include 8% vat + they add 5% for service, as other reviews said they don’t even offer glasses of water (as most of the restaurants I’ve been in Vietnam do). -And last but not least, the restaurant was mostly empty but they sat a couple next to us, which was annoying as they were calling on the phones loudly...
