As far as this being a must try place... no. If you can find the same items elsewhere, might be better there. Still wasn't bad, but considering the cost...
I've never had a lòng đào bọc (Scotch Egg), if that's a real Chinese/Taiwanese thing or not, Idk. That was alright. It tasted like a phở meatball with an 80% hardboiled egg. Size is alright, but you're paying 65K ($2.65) for one meatball.
Cánh gà sốt mắt (sesame wings) were also an item I was really interested in. For 125K ($5.10), they initially tasted alright, but there wasn't enough sauce. Actually, they didn't provide any extra sauce on the table (looking out the window) or bring any out for me at all.
I wanted to try a bao (steamed dough dumpling). Here, they make them into sliders with a bao as a bun. The concept was interesting. I tried the pork belly, costs 70K ($2.85). It's Taiwanese style pork. Cubed with a little pickled veggies. It's pretty small. Did not taste like Korean pork belly at all. When I ordered it, the lady said it's 2 for 1 *if I tried the chicken... and paid the chicken price. I consented. That one is 90K ($3.65)... it turned out, I liked the chicken better. It's just a fried piece of chicken, a little bigger than the pork belly.
With the 5% service fee and 8% VAT, my bill was ₫317,520 ($12.95).
I wish there would have been any sort of sauce to add to the baos.
As a kind of fancy place, your date will probably love it. To try some fusion Chinese/Taiwanese, it's interesting. There's better options for 300K, if you're a JAG and just want some food.
Other reviewers stated they had to oay parking, I heard him say something - I didn't understand, obviously... I pulled away slowly, and he didn't chase me down for money.
*I went in early evening. It was getting dark, and there was low-light...
Read moreVery expensive with average taste and poor service quality !!
First of all. I am a Taiwanese myself and I have tasted all kinds of Chinese food. This restaurant is HK style Cantonese food for sure. But the food is very overpriced. And the amount of food serving is really really minimal.
Then it comes the taste, it’s very normal like average HK restaurants. We ordered the roast duck and the duck meat is so hard then the skin is not crispy at all! I guess it doesn’t need to be very delicious to open a Chinese restaurant in Saigon.
The worst part of this restaurant is the service quality. they recommended the baozi milk tea then I took it. But when it is served on my table. OMG! just look at the photo. All those toppings are spilled outside the cup! Then all the waiters are not noticed at all. I feel so disappointed and disgusted about their signature milk tea. Then my table became dirty with the milk tea toppings :(
I feel so disappointed about this Chinese restaurant. I will be very careful when choosing Chinese restaurant in...
Read moreWe had the Peking duck, char siu, and quail egg soup—and everything exceeded expectations.
We chose the Peking duck without pancakes, and it absolutely held its own. The skin was incredibly crisp, the meat juicy, and the flavor rich without being greasy. The char siu was beautifully done—tender, with that perfect balance of sweet glaze and charred edges. The quail egg soup was light, clean, and flavorful, with soft, delicate quail eggs that gave the broth an extra layer of richness.
What really stood out, though, was the service. We arrived at 1:50 PM, just 10 minutes before closing (2 PM), and the staff still welcomed us warmly and never made us feel rushed. Every team member was highly professional and clearly well-trained—efficient, attentive, and composed from start to finish.
It’s rare to find food and service at such a high level, especially so close to closing time. Truly appreciated and would...
