La Phong Sushi House — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

So we decided to try this place after receiving a voucher from Vagabonds next door. The interior was nice with its garden and multiple seating options: open space, private partitions, and bar seats. For the food, we ordered their sashimi, a salmon roll, a soft-shell crab salad, and a hokke yaki. The sashimi was all right, not super fresh. The salmon roll and salad were good, nothing too special. Finally, the hokke yaki was subpar in my opinion. Overall, the food quality and portions were not worth the price so this was an okay experience. There are better sushi places elsewhere...

I have been a loyal customer of this boutique yet very classy Japanese restaurant for the last decade. Food quality and variety is amongst the best in town and very consistent. Love the signature akagai, hokkigai, shako, sake. Always fresh and so yummy. Service is Japanese standard, if you know what I mean. Great and loyal staff too, some have been working here for 10 years. A must-visit place if you wanna enjoy quality Japanese food, lunch or dinner, in Ho Chi Minh city. Reservation is recommended, though not a must....
