Cơm Niêu is a highly recommended Vietnamese homestyle restaurant with multiple branches throughout Ho Chi Minh City. It’s popular among both locals and tourists, and for good reason. Every time I pass by, the place is bustling with diners eager to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
The star dish here is their clay pot rice, which is similar to Korean-style crispy rice. The bottom layer of the rice is perfectly charred, giving it a delightful crunch that pairs wonderfully with the savory flavors of the accompanying dishes. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.
Beyond the clay pot rice, the restaurant offers a wide variety of homestyle dishes. From the rich flavors of fish sauce-marinated pork to crispy fried spring rolls, every dish we tried was flavorful and met or exceeded expectations. The quality and authenticity of the food truly shine through.
As for pricing, it’s incredibly affordable. Our group of seven spent about 2,000,000 VND in total, which is remarkable for the amount of food we ordered. It’s a great value for the quality and portion sizes provided.
One unique aspect of Cơm Niêu is the live performances during the evening, which add an extra layer of charm to the dining experience. The lively yet cozy atmosphere makes it an excellent choice for family gatherings or a night out with friends.
Overall, Cơm Niêu is a fantastic spot to enjoy traditional Vietnamese cuisine at an affordable price. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit for its signature clay pot rice and...
Read moreWe made a reservation for a family dinner event with a large group, and Cơm Niêu Sài Gòn went above and beyond to accommodate us. They kindly reserved an indoor room to keep things quiet since they had live music performing outside that evening.
We were very impressed by their extensive menu — I remember seeing over 300 dishes listed! The staff was incredibly patient and helpful, guiding us through the options and making recommendations that worked perfectly for our group.
My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, and the highlight of the evening was definitely watching the signature clay pot rice presentation — the way they broke the pot and tossed the rice across the room was so impressive!
Overall, a wonderful dining experience with delicious food, attentive service, and a fun cultural performance. Highly recommend for gatherings or anyone looking to experience authentic Vietnamese cuisine...
Read moreFirst of all, the name of the place is Cơm Niêu Sài Gòn not Phở Cô Dần. They have a big menu with 50 pages and we feel like over half of that is not exist?! Food is average and quite expensive. Service is not good. We ordered drinks for big group and somehow the staff only write less than half of the drinks? There was some problem with order foods as well. Staffs really need more training in how to do the order properly, especially with a group! We didnt have all of our drinks until near the end of the meal, despite the fact that we reminded the staffs million times. Staffs seems very tired, and not professional in their job at all. With that price, we are hopping to have a better services. The best dishes here probably clay pot, and the pork ribs. Recommended should book in advance if you go with a big group, or go in...
