Codonut — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

This is my first time trying codonut and I love it!! I got the coconut ice cream with coconut pearl pearl and it was fantastic! The coconut ice cream wasn't too sweet but just about the right amount of sweetness & richness. On top of that I also got an extra small coconut water on the side that comes with the order and it was very refreshing. The only problem that will make this rating from being a perfect 5 star is that owner and staff were not being too friendly or welcoming at all when I 1st walked from the beginning to the end. I had to start a convo because the ambiance of the shop was dull. The great ice cream alone cannot make up for the overall great experience. I give a rating of 7.9 out of a 10. If you’re craving for some coconut ice cream, this is the place to go. Great quality ice cream and I love that they’re generous portion as well. To top it off, they have sustainable practices like reusable cups and utensils, the bowls are made from actual coconut which means it has edible coconut meat and it can be used for other purposes afterwards. I really appreciate this from a business, esp in a city where plastic is so heavily used and abused. We were just passing and they enticed us in and with their pretty menu and boy am I glad that I allowed myself to be enticed in. I tried the coconut ice cream sticky rice with pineapple leaves for 43K Vietnamese dong. It was very good! Very creamy and actually on a moderate sweet level. The sticky rice complimented the ice cream beautifully. It was accompanied with coconut water which was lovely. We sat outside and did some people watching while we enjoying the ice cream.
