I came here to get my matcha fix after seeing all the reviews of this place.
I ordered the hot matcha latte, the matcha chestnut crepes and afterwards the birthday tea.
Upon ordering the matcha latte I asked the latte to not be sweet and they got that perfectly right. However the latte wasn't exactly warm nor hot. I can't handle hot liquids so my tea's and latte's need to cool down significantly before I can drink them, and upon being served my latte the drink was actually lukewarm. That is not really how I like my latte.
The matcha crepe cake had significant matcha flavour yet in comparison to the ones I had in Japan and South Korea this one was made of too much cream.
The birthday tea I ordered afterwards was of beautiful flavour, hotness and came with its own little pot.
The place looks absolutely stunning, one of the more beautiful places I have been to. The music in the background suits the aesthetics of the cafe/restaurant and the place is made to be a fancy yet a comfortable environment.
The reason for the 4 stars still is most definitely the service, attentiveness of the staff and how well they keep the place in clean and good condition.
When you sit down and order they actually give you the prepacked hand towels like they do in Japan and every spot has their own magnet where they attach the order to.
The place works very effectively and organised and services are quite fast. I am however a little sad about the matcha experience, but would recommend the restaurant.
If I had more time I would come back and try their restaurant and possibly give the Matcha experience another try.
These three items cost me:...
