This was our first stop in Vietnam fresh off a 24 hour travel day from the US. Delirious and exhausted with our body clocks scrambled, we sat down at Nhà Hàng Phương Cua in desperate need of a drink.
I pulled the chair out to sit down, and saw a cockroach scurry away, but was too exhausted to really give it any thought. We sat down and ordered 2 Tiger Beers and a lady came selling packs of cigarettes, which we gladly obliged. Menthols though because we are soft af ahaha.
We sat there, putting down menthols and tiger beers like they were water as two large groups at separate tables both had an acoustic guitar player and patrons taking turns singing. I felt like I was in the twilight zone ahahaha but it was a vibe at 1:20am on a Thursday evening, and I couldn’t imagine a better way to be welcomed to the country.
We actually didn't get any food, but after a couple Tiger beers each, we decided to call it a night as we had a Vietnamese Coffee tour at 9am the next day.

Read moreGuys this is scary restaurant. Me and my wife went here at 2 am. We ordered our foor and beer. They gave us beer till the food was prepared. We ordered second beer surprisingly they banged 2 beer in front of us and forced us to get it. As we were tourist we got scared and asked them to parcel our food. Again they got angry and waiter came asked me if I want one more beer. I said no I am ok with two. Again he took away two beer from my table and cancelled my order. Overall it was scary. And the lady owner is involved with her staff to misbehave with customers. One of her staff came and sat near our table and started continuously staring at my wife and lady owner was okay with it. So I would suggest tourist don't even think of this restaurant instead you go to circle and get your beer and snacks. Worst...
Read moreWe just stopped here randomly for dinner. It was very busy but they said to give them 10 minutes and they would have a table. Five minutes later they had set up a table further along the street. They continued to do the same as more people came. We ordered three dishes between two and beers. The food was very good, sweet and sour short ribs (nice and sticky!) and chicken wings Viet style. We also had the obligatory pork spring rolls. We really enjoyed and there was plenty for us both. When we were finished, a plate of fruit arrived complimentary of the table beside us…I think it was the owner who was socialising with family/friends! He had earlier moved their table to give us more space and also advice on the sauces for each dish.
It was good food, good value and a good...
