A Truly Unforgettable Stay at Lado Homestay Hotel – Simply the Best!
I have traveled to many places and stayed at many hotels, but Lado Hotel is in a league of its own. From the moment I arrived, I was absolutely captivated by everything this hotel has to offer. It’s not just a place to stay it’s an experience. The design is sophisticated yet welcoming, the rooms are impeccably clean and luxurious, and the entire vibe of the hotel is like being wrapped in comfort from the moment you step inside.
One of the most unique aspects of Lado Hotel is its incredible ambiance. The hotel is perfectly situated, with views of the train passing by, adding an unexpected but charming touch to the atmosphere. There’s something incredibly peaceful about watching the trains glide past while you relax, and it gave the entire experience a special, almost cinematic quality. It made my stay feel like something out of a movie, where time slowed down just enough to let you appreciate the little things around you.
But what truly set Lado Hotel apart from every other place I’ve stayed was the service. And when I say service, I’m talking about the extraordinary hospitality that was shown to me, especially by Vui. Vui made my entire experience at Lado Hotel feel incredibly special.
From the first warm greeting to the final farewell, she was the epitome of what true hospitality should be. She not only made sure we was comfortable and had everything I needed, but she did so with genuine care and attention. Vui’s kindness and thoughtfulness were evident in every interaction, and her ability to speak English fluently made all the difference in ensuring I felt understood and at ease.
She’s the kind of person who goes above and beyond making sure I had the best recommendations for local spots to visit, offering small gestures of kindness that made a huge impact, and always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel as welcome as she did, and she made my time at Lado Hotel truly unforgettable.
I can't speak highly enough of Lado Hotel it’s more than just a place to stay it’s a sanctuary. Between the stunning amenities, the impeccable service, the peaceful train views, and the exceptional warmth and care from staff like Vui, this hotel has earned a place in my heart.
If you're looking for an extraordinary stay where every detail is carefully considered, Lado Hotel is the place for you. And if you’re lucky enough to be greeted by Vui, your experience will be nothing short of magical. I’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best...
Read moreThe room was nice and had a great view... But that was about it.
There was a foul smell the moment we opened the door to our room. After a while... I figured out that it was the smell of the sewer. I switched on the ventilator in the bathroom, thinking that it would solve the problem. However... This only made it worse. An hour later... I realised that the smell came from various parts of the bathroom (sink and floor drainage) as well as a floor drainage beside the bathtub in the bedroom. Had to cover the floor drainage with plastic bags and close the sink drainage before the sewer smell finally subsided. The bathroom also leaked water to the bedroom when the shower is used.
I also agree with other reviews regarding the poor soundproofing.
We left our luggage at the hotel while we went for a 1 day hike to a village. To my horror... The luggage were still left at the main guest waiting area (also the place where guests had their meals) when we arrived at the hotel from our hike.
One other thing that potential guests need to know is that you'll need to climb the stairs up to your room. (No fault of theirs)The highest rooms are on the 4th floor. So lugging your luggages up can be a challenge.
We stayed one night at Sapa Yen (a stone throw from La Do) before our hike and must say that Yen gave a way better experience although the room did not have the kind of view that La Do...

Their pho is among the best in Vietnam, with a rich aroma and well-balanced spices. A must try!
The staff are warm, attentive, and proactive in communicating before and during your stay to ensure a smooth experience. They also provide free drop-off and pick-up services to and from the bus station anywhere in Sapa—just give them a heads-up in advance.
While the hotel is a bit more expensive compared to other mountain-view options, I think it’s worth it.
However, what I didn’t like was the noise from construction and traffic, which can be felt and heard in the room, along with some shaking. Additionally, I wasn’t fond of the scent of the sheets and the shower room. I hope they can improve this.
OVERALL, a pleasant stay! Would definitely...
