Tonight, I went to Yo-Chi with my partner and we were absolutely disgusted with our service received. We had previously purchased the ($19 each) Robert Gordon ceramic Yo-Chi cups, and before filling up our cups we decided to ask about the pricing using a heavier cup. “We take the weight off the cup, and add an extra 10% off” said a girl behind the counter.

When we had finished filling our cups and went to pay, a different girl told us to separately weigh our cups (even though we are paying together). Knowing that it is fought $3.80 per 100g of Yo-Chi, our total was $40.80. Which equals to over a kilo of Yo-Chi. Keep in mind - both cups weren’t even full to the top. Being loyal customers, the most we have ever paid is $28 for both cups LOADED over the top.

Confused, I checked with the cashier that this was including the weight taken off + the 10% off (like we were told), and she made us feel stupid- telling us that the price is correct she had added all the discount, and if we didn’t believe her we should come behind the counter ourselves and look at her screen (there was a huge line, typical weekend packed, I am not coming behind the counter to look at your screen).

In all the customer service I have ever received, I have never felt so put on the spot, in front of a huge line of people watching me question this pricing.

You mean to tell me, two medium sized FROZEN YOGHURTS was $40…. Won’t be returning, which is disappointing seeing as we were extremely loyal- bought our own Robert Gordon cups etc. Really hope you are able to figure out who this staff member is so she can learn how to...

My experience at Yo-Chi was absolutely delightful from start to finish. Walking into the store, I was greeted by a bright and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a treat any time of the day! The self-serve frozen yogurt stations were a highlight—what a fantastic concept! I loved having the freedom to choose from a wide array of flavours, from classic vanilla to exotic mango sorbet, and everything in between. Each flavor was rich and creamy, exactly how frozen yogurt should be.

But the real magic happened at the toppings bar. It was a paradise for toppings enthusiasts like myself! Fresh fruits, crunchy granola, chewy mochi, and even chocolate sprinkles—there were endless options to create the perfect dessert masterpiece. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient, and even let me try a few samples! This made my visit more enjoyable!

As I settled into a cozy corner with my creation, I couldn’t help but notice the attention to detail throughout the store. Clean tables, vibrant decor, and a pleasant background soundtrack added to the overall ambiance. It’s clear that Yo-Chi values not just great yogurt, but also creating a welcoming environment for customers to relax and enjoy their treats.

Overall, my visit to Yo-Chi was a memorable one. Whether you’re craving a sweet treat, or looking to indulge your creativity with toppings, Yo-Chi is the place to be.
