Very terrible experience at an over-rated place.
My husband booked a table for my birthday breakfast with our baby girl who just turned 2 as well on the 2/1/2021. Ordered two sets of breakfast which came highly recommended online, a coffee in a mug for my husband and freshly squeezed orange juice for my baby girl.
The coffee was fine. However, when we tasted the orange juice it was very astringent and bitter. I asked the waitress if they added another ingredient in the juice. She said no and happy to replace it for me. Within a minute, the waitress brought out another glass of orange juice and ask us to taste it. It tasted the same as the first one with added water and it was still very bitter which I did not want to offer it to my baby girl. I replied to the waitress and asked if I could order some other juice instead. The owner rushed to our table and spoke to me extremely rudely and abusively saying "What is wrong with you and the orange juice? I taste it myself and it perfectly fine, it’s your taste got problem, not the juice." I reply her said “I am not sure if it’s because of the type of the orange that you are using or the rind, but please understand I cannot offer this to my girl but I can order something else to replace the orange juice.” The owner response angrily said "It is up to you but please understand I have to charge you for this as well!" Then she took the orange juice away from our table. It soured our mood and was disappointing to be spoken to such abusive way in the new year as well as on my birthday.
A moment I was about to stand and leave but I didn’t want to show bad manners in front of my girl and in public so we stayed till we finished the breakfast. Further, the food was simply average. The pumpkin was too burned and the potato waffles was very dry and chewy. At the end, the owner still charged us the extra $8.5 for the orange juice that we did not drink.
A place like this with an extraordinary review should not provide such service and manner to customers. The whole experience was just ordinary and very sad. The owner shows a lack of professionalism and patience towards local customers who are attempting to support small local business.
Hopefully they can review this matter and treat it seriously so no one will ever feel what we felt yesterday. I also suggest if the owner wants to charge the food/drinks that customer are not satisfied with, the food/drinks should be still served or placed at the customer table till the end of their dining time unless the customer ask to be taken away. Otherwise, you are charging the food/drinks that you...

Read moreFrom the moment I set foot in this wonderful locale (pun intended), to the moment I sadly had to leave, I experienced the finest of service and food. If ever you stop reading here, just go and see for yourself. Their menu is online, follow the link. I challenge you to read it and not be drawn to try at least one of their breakfast creations!
Welcomed with a smile, I sat down and while looking at the menu to make my final selection, I ordered a small flat white which arrived shortly. Bold strong taste, served hot at the perfect temp. Off to a good start.
I ended up ordering the halloumi and pumpkin waffles with gravlax, labneh and marinated cucumber salad. What a treat! The waffles, heart shaped, six of them, freshly made to order and hot. Thin, tasty and obviously made from a no shortcuts or compromise recipe. They were the perfect compliment to the mouth watering gravlax, lemon and aneth.
Even walking up to the counter to pay was pleasurable, as the staff was again friendly and professional to the very end.
There's outside and inside seating. Outside a mix of high and low wooden communal tables on a wooden floor. Inside, minimalist decor, a white paradise. Mostly square tables that sit four.
They offer lunch as well, but I wasn't able to make it here more than once, tragically.
Toilet at the back is...
