I recently visited Nodo South Bank in Brisbane, Australia and was impressed by their delicious and unique take on healthy, gluten-free baked goods. From the moment I walked into the modern and welcoming space, I knew I was in for a treat.
The selection of baked goods was extensive, with everything from muffins and doughnuts to cakes and tarts. I decided to try a chocolate chip muffin, a cinnamon doughnut, and a lemon and raspberry cake.
The chocolate chip muffin was moist and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness. The cinnamon doughnut was soft and fluffy, with a delicate cinnamon flavor that was perfectly complemented by the sweet glaze. And the lemon and raspberry cake was a standout - with a light and fluffy sponge that was perfectly balanced by the tart raspberry filling and tangy lemon frosting.
What impressed me most about Nodo South Bank was their commitment to using high-quality, natural ingredients that are free from gluten, refined sugar, and artificial additives. As someone who is health-conscious but loves baked goods, I was thrilled to find a bakery that catered to my dietary needs without sacrificing on taste.
The staff at Nodo South Bank were also friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions I had about their products and ingredients.
Overall, I highly recommend Nodo South Bank to anyone looking for healthy, gluten-free baked goods in Brisbane. The selection is extensive, the quality is top-notch, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning for more delicious treats...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI seriously donāt think people who donāt have food allergies or intolerances understand how those of us who have them feel when we stumble across a place that actually has food that tastes good ( instead of just being considered as an afterthought) Gluten free food at an average cafe can taste very bland and flavourless ( if weāre thought Iād at all ) The amount of times Iāve been told that they donāt have waffles , pancakes , doughnuts- but they do have gf toast for my eggs ā¦ā¦ itās so nice to have options that actually taste good . Everything here is gluten free , and thereās lots of choice . So I just ordered a box of doughnuts and shared them ( with people that arenāt intolerant, and they loved them too !) My favourite is the pumpkin maple with the gingerbread crumb - how they manage to put so much taste in a doughnut is a mystery. My friend also had the beetroot blackout , which is also dairy free - it had a high level of cacao and wasnāt so sweet, but was really moist . And the blueberry lemon cheesecake with the pistachio crumb is also a crowd pleaser- with this one everyone was satisfied. Service was quick and friendly, and the staff were patient as I took a few minutes to make my choices . Who said doughnuts canāt be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really love nodo, the food and coffee are always great. But I always find that the service at the south bank location is really poor. I recently went there and ordered a vanilla iced latte to takeaway. They didn't give me a straw so I kindly asked if I could have one. The girl making the coffee said they had no straws, which is totally fine. Whilst I was waiting for my toastie, I saw her place a straw in a drink. So I went up to the counter to ask again for one. I was only asking as the coffee and vanilla had completely settled to the bottom of my cup and I couldn't mix it just by swirling it around, trust me I tried. This is something I usually would just brush off. But when I asked the girl at the counter she said we have none, again. The girl making the coffee interrupted and was honestly really rude to me. She claimed that I didn't have a speciality drink so I couldn't receive a straw because they were low on them...? I totally understand that, but I was nothing but polite to them and they were so unfriendly and really hostile. It was just a bit disappointing as I had purchased a toastie, a doughnut and 2 coffees from them. I'm not really mad over the straw, it's just...
