Beautiful Anglican church in the city center that has so much history. Loved the stained glass work and use of wood in the pews, roof structure and entrance which matches really well with the gothic masonry. I especially liked the nativity scene on display all carved from local Huon pine which is amazing art on its own but extra special when you can smell the pine perfume when you get close to it. Always encouraged when churches stick to the core of its purpose which is to glorify God and its evident that the gospel is still proclaimed in this house of God. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. In Him we have redemption through His blood for the forgiveness of sins in accordance with the riches of God's grace. Repent and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out, that time of refreshing may come from the Lord. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved....

I love churches. I went to catholic school, sometimes i pray. I dont consider myself catholic. I also read runes, write letters to kali, see symbols from gaia and ancestors, am a yogi, curious in jesus. I dont want to offended anyone with my artistic interpretation of these beautiful stainglass illustrations at st davids cathedral. I will take them down if i do. Id love to learn how to make my own. Churches are inspirational, peaceful, safe. This one is all of those things. Right in the city, its a quiet space to pray, reflect, ground. There is a gift shop! It wasnt open when...

A lovely Cathedral EXCEPT it's noisy with no respect for quiet time and prayers and reverence. People, including attending clergy, call out, talk loudly, encourage disruptive chat. Such a shame as many Christians and indeed, other visitors, would like the solitude and serenity of a beautiful building to cosset them, to allow them solace and peace. A very good addition though, are the new padded pew cushions; previously it was so uncomfortable to sit for any time in the hard seats even if considered penance! A...

This is a beautiful cathedral. There are two entrances, one is via the bell tower and a corridor or through the front entrance. Interesting layout with the tower not part of the main church. The architecture is lovely. There is a mixture of original and contemporary stained glass. The carved wooden screen is lovely. A peaceful and contemplative space to spend some time. Also there is a fabulous shop inside which specialises in hand knitted items and especially beanies.
