The Subi farmers market is more of a perennial pop-up 'street market'. It generally operates on Saturday mornings, and is located within the boundaries of Subiaco primary school.

You will easily see the trail of locals and curious visitors wandering in and out of the grounds (or crossing the road) on most Saturday mornings, especially if you happen to be driving along Bagot road, and pass near the school.

The market has certainly stood the 'test of time'!! I'm fairly sure it's been going for at least a decade, and shows no signs of weakening (although things got a bit quiet during pandemic times).

The perfect place to take the kids on a Saturday morning to keep them occupied. You are often welcomed by a motley band of ukulele players (of different ages and backgrounds). As you walk through the market, there are a delightful variety of food stalls, such as Mexican (or is it Colombian), and other South American cuisine, German sausage, Greek pastries, crepes and the like.

There's a terrific coffee spot and also a fresh juice stall. Both always have a short queue of people, wanting their 'morning fix'.

There are also all sorts of odd or interesting stalls, eg offering locally made jewellery, knife sharpening, pizza bases, French pastries, dog treats (straight from the farm), olives, meats, cheeses, flowers etcetera.

Of course, this is not to mention the produce market itself - which is undercover at one end of the market.

Most Saturday mornings, you can ' people watch', simply by sitting on one of the small plastic stools in the heart of the market. With your brekky and drinks, you'll also enjoy live music played by a local band, whether playing jazz, creole, or pop.

At the back of the market, there's a playground for the kids, an oval to walk the dogs, and lots of open space and tables to enjoy food and banter with the locals.

The place usually operates from quite early on a Saturday morning, and starts to 'wind down' at around 12 noon- 1o'clock ( depending on how busy it is).

The 'Market' is believed to be the 'brainchild of "Greg and Debs", 2 local Legends, who were active on the Parents and children committee at subi primary for many many years. We often bump into either of both of them on the odd occasions when we are visiting the markets, and it's always a pleasure to see them.

If you happen to live in the area, but have not yet been to the subi farmers market, you may need to check your local 'accreditation'!! Several 'tours of Duty' to the markets are essential for local...

Oh, sweet and verdant marketplace, how thou dost shine with the bounty of the earth! In truth, there is no finer place to find fresh produce and artisanal goods than the local farmers market.

Here, amidst the bustle of eager vendors and curious patrons, one may find delights to satisfy every craving. Of particular note are the gluten-free donuts, a confection most delectable and pleasing to the palate. For those seeking sustenance more savory, there are stalls overflowing with meats, cheeses, and other comestibles of the highest quality.

But 'tis not merely foodstuffs that are on offer at this emporium of plenty. Nay, there are also jewelers and tailors, each offering wares of the finest craftsmanship and most intricate design. Thus, whether one seeks a garment to adorn the body or a bauble to grace the hand, the farmers market is the perfect destination.

And let us not forget the coffee, that rich and aromatic beverage which doth stir the soul and quicken the mind. Whether one desires a simple cup or a more elaborate concoction, there are vendors aplenty who can satisfy this need.

In truth, there is no limit to the wonders that can be found at the local farmers market. It is a place of abundance, where the bounty of the earth is laid out before us in all its splendor. So if thou art in need of sustenance, clothing, or simply a diversion from the cares of the world, make haste to the market, and discover the treasures...

I love this market. On arrival, a ukelele band greets visitors. There is a large variety of stalls selling fresh bread, honey, eggs, mushrooms and freshly made foods for people to buy, hot! The veggies are really fresh and brought in by local farmers. There is a wonderful community atmosphere and fresh herbs can be bought in pots. These markets are popular with dog owners and its central location in the Subiaco Primary School make it extremely accessible. Parking is available in 2 nearby carparks with the first hour's parking free. Brew-Ha is very close, welcomes dogs, has great coffee and a variety of muffins, cakes and other fresh food items, and its a great way to finish the...

This market is every bit as vibrant and delightful as it looks! A feast for the senses—from the vivid colours of the fresh produce to the cheerful energy of the crowd, live music, and sunshine. The coffee line was understandably long with so many people craving their morning fix, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Highlight of the morning? Without a doubt, the gluten-free donuts! Pro tip: grab a lemon, squeeze it over the sugar and cinnamon sprinkle, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate zesty-sweet treat to start a sunny day. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, don’t miss this gem. It’s where community spirit, good food, and happy vibes come together.

The Market offers a delightful Saturday morning experience! I appreciated the vibrant atmosphere and the focus on fresh, local produce. The lively energy and the opportunity to connect directly with producers felt familiar. I enjoyed exploring the diverse food stalls, from fresh fruits and vegetables to gourmet treats and breakfast options. It's a great place to soak in the local community vibe and discover quality ingredients. If you enjoy fresh food and a lively market atmosphere, it's worth a visit. I bought the delicious cheery tomatoes.
