This one has clearance items for clothes but still expensive. If u after clothes, their clearance range is still overpriced imo at 200 aud so I suggest you walk across the road to the adventure shop where u can get Columbia brand stuff between 99aud to 200aud

This Kathmandu sells their own brand backpacks and the shop is on both sides of the town hall station exit. However, if u after real good quality backpack, walk a few doors down the road to the mountain shop (just before the back packer shop/travel agent)

They sell a variety of interesting tsa approved locks.

I liked the carabiner lock so I bought it as it is tsa friendly and it looked narrow enough to thread through my zip holes as pictured. (Sometimes looks can be deceiving when it comes to the traditional padlock type locks thickness and I can't be bothered taking things back to shop for 50 bucks.)

I will see how easy it is to change the password later.

I also wonder what difference is between their package claims on different locks of "tsa accepted" vs "tsa approved". The young fellow did not know.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with any store. Period. Do not come here. I ordered a product via click and collect. This morning, I called multiple times, only to find out that the product was missing. Half an hour later, I received an email asking me to come in-store to collect this aforementioned item. I called multiple times to ask what was going on and no one answered. I trekked over 1 hour in the 30C heat to collect this product (a $18 beanie), only to be told that they needed to send me an email “confirming that my order was ready for collection in order to give [me] a refund”. My lengthy commute was for absolutely nothing. It was for an administrative technicality. After I spoke to the staff, it became clear that they did not care for their customers at all. They did not even have the decency to send a follow-up email or call to clarify with me that I did not need to come in-store. Horrible customer service. Horrible people. Do not come here. It is a massive waste of time. If I could give this company a sub-zero rating, I would. I will never be returning. Your management will be hearing...

Amazing service! I bought these convertible suitcase/ backpacks from here many moons ago, and on my most recent trip unfortunately my wheels were damaged in transit by an airline I won't mention. Christina from customer service sent out complimentary replacement wheels super quickly, thank you so much Christina and the Kathmandu team!

These bags have lasted us well, and are easy to spot on the conveyer belt which is a bonus! My only complaint is that the backpack could be more comfortable, but I understand that would probably make the product much bulkier, so I understand why they did it!

I also LOVE the thought behind the design, the bag has toggles on it which allows me to attach the day bag I have from my proper (over 10 years old and still alive) Kathmandu rucksack...
