A few times I’ve turned up and they’ve had a ‘be back in 3 minutes’ sign up for over 10 minutes, but the times they have been open, they’ve had an impressive range of American candies and drinks. They have many types of lolly brands, including Haribo, Jolly Rancher, Allens, Trolli and more. The store also has many types of Nerds and Gobstoppers. The prices are a bit steep, but this is common with international imported sweets such as these. This isn’t the place to go for your typical convenience store goods such as pads, tampons and cleaning products, as they’re very overpriced. You come here for the sugar! The Redfern Convenience store has an online website that shows all their sweets/biscuits/drinks/chocolate options in stock, and you can also reach out to the owner via their Instagram page to check for availability.

It's 'a thing' and worth the trip. You can even get the t-shirt! (I didn't, but you could). Wide selection of International sweets, ice creams and drinks. It's like being a kid in a candy store! The candies and cereals were up-to-date and it looks like the stock is rotated through pretty regularly. The shop also serves as an Amazon drop-off point, which is handy. Staff is super friendly. 👀 My only watch out is that many items aren't marked with prices, so you may get a surprise at the register. 💲 If you're visiting Redfern, be sure to visit the 40,000 Years mural, right outside the train station (only a block away), which is gorgeous and an important part of Sydney history. There are also some great restaurants in this corner of town!

👀 The Greatest Convenience Store on Earth!! RCS has a cult following and I know why! Its’s like Disneyland for snacks. Store Owner Hazem is a ray of sunshine. There is SO much packed into the store and they have grown so much throughout the years. Always street parking available. RCS is a place of pure fun, it's always got the latest food trends and always a fun place to visit. 🧃 My fav beverage to try there is a La Croix! 🍴 Fav snacks are Goldfish and Kinder Cards but they are always updating and you can buy online! Current picks would be Nutter Butter, Graham crackers and pumpkin puree! ✨ Thank you always for amazing service and for being you Hazem, you’re the best!

Redfern Convenience Store Delivers an Unforgettable Experience

Rating: ★★★★★

Review:

Nestled in the heart of Redfern, the Redfern Convenience Store proved to be an unexpected treasure trove of delights during my recent visit. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel like a welcomed guest.

What sets Redfern Convenience Store apart is its impressive selection of products. From everyday essentials to gourmet treats, this store truly lives up to its name. The well-stocked shelves offered a diverse range of snacks, beverages, fresh produce, and even specialty items that catered to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences.

The highlight of my experience at Redfern Convenience Store was the exceptional customer service. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist at every turn. Their genuine enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile made the entire shopping experience a pleasure. They were quick to offer recommendations, help locate specific items, and engage in friendly conversation, creating a sense of community within the store.

The quality of the products available at Redfern Convenience Store was outstanding. The fresh produce was impeccably sourced and beautifully presented, reflecting a commitment to providing customers with the best possible ingredients. The snacks and beverages on offer ranged from well-known brands to unique local finds, ensuring there was something for everyone.

One aspect that stood out was the store's dedication to supporting local producers and artisans. Redfern Convenience Store proudly showcased a selection of locally made products, allowing customers to discover and support small businesses in the area. This commitment to the community added an extra layer of authenticity and made the shopping experience even more meaningful.

The cleanliness and organization of the store were commendable. The aisles were well-maintained and neatly arranged, making it easy to navigate and find what I needed. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean and inviting environment further enhanced the overall shopping experience.

In terms of pricing, Redfern Convenience Store offered reasonable and competitive prices, considering the quality and variety of products available. The value for money was exceptional, making it a go-to destination for both convenience and specialty items.

In conclusion, the Redfern Convenience Store exceeded all expectations, offering an incredible shopping experience. With its diverse product selection, exceptional customer service, support for local businesses, and commitment to quality, this hidden gem in Redfern is a must-visit for anyone seeking convenience, variety, and a touch of community spirit.

The Redfern Convenience Store looks like any other store from the outside, but venture inside and you are welcomed with a magical and amazing array of sweets and other hard to find goods that you probably haven't seen since your childhood (especially if you are an expat from the USA/Canada/UK).

For example, you'll casually see a row of Big League Chew occupying it's neat place on display. All of your childhood cereals; Lucky Charms, etc, are here, including all the dizzying variations that you haven't seen or knew about.

Drinks are another hidden treasure trove here. You can find Coke made with real sugar here, the original recipe.

This place is a hidden oasis of sweets, lollies and other curious goods. From the outside, it may look like any other place, but venture inside and a careful look will have you finding gems such as marshmello fluff, all the variations of Snickers protein bars, the extremely hard to find Lacroix range of drinks, flavours of Oreos you never knew about and much more.

You cannot mention Redfern Convenience Store without mentioning the King of Sweets himself, Hazem is the equivalent of 1/2 parts Willy Wonka and 1/2 Parts Santa Claus. If you are lucky and the store is not busy, he may give you a guided tour of the shop and it's contents. It's very clear that Hazem has a passion for what he sells and that he cares about the people who come in. Many people travel hours from far away to visit and stock up on hard to find goodies from their childhood. It's very easy to spend $100 here, with many visitors spending $300-$500, as they are shopping for friends, family members and colleagues. The amazing thing is, it's money well spent, with no regrets.

I would personally describe Redfern Convenience Store as the Happiest Place on Earth, and definitely, hands down, the Greatest Convenience...

I have purchased three times from this business. First time - next day delivery, all good. Second time - next day delivery, 2 items not as requested, but I let it go as I liked them anyway. Last week my colleague & I placed a joint order for $130. 7 days later nothing delivered and no word on delivery, so we called to enquire & the owner advised that it was picked up as an 'express' delivery but was sitting at the courier depot (?). Yesterday it turned up and the box was so hot even the cereal box enclosed was hot to touch. Of course this meant that the 4 large chocolate bars inside were liquified. The owners response to this was that their conditions state that they don't take responsibility for chocolate orders and that is why they use an 'express shipping company' for delivery. How is 8 day delivery from 2 suburbs away 'express' when it is literally a 5 minute drive??? I imagine that box was traveling all over Sydney in the back of the courier truck for a week. If you are going to transport perishable goods as part of your business, you need to ensure that the courier is going to deliver promptly (especially when people are paying $20 for delivery from 2 suburbs away). So, for us - $26 of chocolate in the bin. The owner offered 15% off our next order for the inconvenience. Funny that he thinks that there will be a...
