If you’re in Sydney and looking for a perfect blend of history, charm, and an absolute shopping haven, The Rocks Market is your ultimate destination! From the moment I set foot in this vibrant market, I was greeted with the most delightful array of stalls, each brimming with unique treasures. Whether you’re a foodie, a fashionista, or just a lover of all things quirky, there’s something here for everyone! The market boasts an eclectic mix of stalls offering everything from handcrafted jewellery and artisanal homewares to stylish clothing and one-of-a-kind art pieces. Food wise they have gourmet treats and freshly baked goods to mouth-watering international cuisine. Don’t miss out on the artisanal cheeses and freshly squeezed juices – they’re a must-try! Nestled in the heart of Sydney’s historic district, The Rocks Market perfectly combines the old-world charm with a modern twist. Strolling through the cobblestone streets and soaking in the heritage buildings was like stepping back in time, yet with all the contemporary comforts. Whether you’re flying solo, on a date, or having a family outing, The Rocks Market is the ideal spot to spend a sunny weekend. The friendly vendors and the vibrant community spirit make it a place where memories are made and shared. In short, The Rocks Market isn’t just a market – it’s an experience! If you haven’t been yet, grab your tote bag and your best shopping buddy, and head down for a day of endless fun and discoveries. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Located on George Street, The Rocks, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 but also winds around the back streets of the Rocks area. Edit - I got the opportunity to go the Night Markets at the Rocks last night while attending the VIVID festival. These are so much better in my opinion. Much better atmosphere and they seemed to have a lot more stalls. Both the day and night markets are wonderful but I just prefer the night ones. The street entertainment was great too but I think they were there for Vivid. These markets are really good , it’s in an iconic area of Sydney and has a great selection of wonderful products to look at. This is one of my favourite markets in Sydney due to the location and because it always has great things to look at. I bought a Ned Kelly Magnet which was really nice. There’s also a lot of good food trucks that you can get something to eat from or you can choose to eat from one of the cafes/pubs etc in the Rocks. The prices are steep though so be aware of that. You can always have a great time. It’s easy to get to, just a short walk from Circular Quay station. Just a side note, I have been to these markets both on Saturday and Friday nights, the best night is easily Saturday with more stalls to look through.

Google maps accurate to where it'd located. Some hills but the pathway is all paved, and cobblestone. Cute walkways into historic roads & buildings. Pop up vendors throughout the streets consisting of clothing, jewelry, handmade crafts, bath items mostly. food vendors are towards the end near under bridge. Safe for families with small children to walk around, some parts very crowded when walking thru but most times people are courteous. Cute play area at end for children and they provide picnic throws and pillows to enjoy your eats under the bridge on the grassy areas. Gave it a 3/5, due to not a true farmers market but more street market. PS. Had no idea, but those birds a vicious. lol I didn't feed it but others were and they will come close to stealing your food from under you.

I do love the Rocks Market. Over the years it was a destination to visit on a Saturday equally like the Paddy’s Market icons on their own. Over time and largely due to Covid, it has diminished in stature, but still hanging in. It has has the feel of the old days and atmosphere, where is the key to retain its lifeline. The action has moved from Geroge Street to The old cobble paved street of Playfair Street. To honest, it has a better feel in this narrower and open area with restaurants and old sandstone buildings. This area is packed with handicrafts, handmade treats and clothing. Importantly, yummy wood fire pizza, paella, fresh lemonades and other delicious delights. We love this markets and will encourage people to go, visit and see the older parts of Sydney.

It is an upmarket Makers Market , the items are often hand-made or produced by stall owners themselves. Which makes it unique & unlikely to be found elsewhere. Stalls are very neatly arranged with names displayed prominently which makes it easy to identify if you want something specific or for a return visit... Stalls are lined up from corner of Argyle & Harrington St & run through to under Harbour Bridge. Some under cover & some not. Don't miss the permanent retailers behind the stalls in the historic Rocks terrace shopfronts - these are pretty quirky & unique too. Close to Circular Key station & main Passenger Ferry Terminal - this market has both food & items on sale with street buskers to liven it up..Toilets are sign posted.
