Karmez Kebap Cart — Attraction in Hallstatt

I’m not sure how those guys reached Austria and working in a very nice place like Hallstatt, because really they don’t deserve to be there at all. My wife and I came to order from there and she was trying to ask the young boy who is working there if they have pickles with the order, he seemed not to understand what she is saying as it seems he doesn’t speak English at all, then suddenly one guy with beard coming to us and talking in a rude way showing his frustration why we are asking his colleague about pickles?!!! I honestly never had this rude attitude in any place around the world and I really hope the Hallstatt municipality would have second thoughts about having this small thing there called “food kiosk” as its presence there with those “uneducated people” is not ruining only the place but it’s giving a bad image to the whole Hallstatt. It’s so weird how such rude and uneducated people reached a level to have a food kiosk in such a magical place but they dunno even how to behave with people. Anyway save your time and don’t pass to this one, better go nearby to a very nice location for burger, hotdog and fries called “the burgerman”, their attitude and behaviour and food is zillion times better than this one who doesn’t know how to talk or to behave and as per the people in our tourist group who purchased from him they didn’t like the...

It smelled incredible and there were people linning up. We waited a little bit and walked around. Went back really excited to eat here, right just 5 min before 6pm (when dinner starts) & there were 2 people on the table ouside seated and waiting. We went ahead to order and the guy told us it was closed, we told him we were starving and waited for so long for this meal, and he couldnt serve 2 people while people were waiting to eat there?? For the locals he could open, for the tourist people it looks like they wouldn’t. Great.

Well, the next day at the same time he kept the place open even later than that (around 6:30-7ish pm) So… what?!

Didn’t like the manners and how clients were treated so we decided not to participate in supporting this small business, when we always do!!!

Reviews didn’t look good in general anyways, people also complaint about the bad behaviour and rude manners of the guy there!

I hope the owner reads this, because it was really upseting to see how the man was serving people the followng day later than 6pm, when the day before we were both of us just wanting to eat in their place, which was in front of our hotel, instead of eating in a...

My sister had gone here to order food, explicitly saying she was going to dine there. She was given a takeout box instead in a bag, but we didn’t think anything of it and said thank you. It was when she tried to sit down on the bench that he immediately began yelling at her. Saying to not sit there because she had take out (even though he was the one who gave her the takeout box).

We were confused and my sister explained again she had said she wanted to dine in. But he continued to yell at her saying to leave. Even continued saying rude things to her as we were leaving saying she was the rude one.

Overall very poor experience. Not sure if it was because we were tourist coming from Canada, but definitely not a great impression...
