The Wolf cafe bistro bar — Restaurant in Hallstatt

I had a very unpleasant experience at this establishment. I initially stepped inside just to take a picture of a poster, not realizing it would be an issue. Immediately, a staff member approached me and said in a harsh tone, “No consuming, no pictures—get out!” This response felt unnecessarily rude and put me in a bad mood.

Later, I returned to take a picture of the restaurant’s name for reference, and the same person became extremely aggressive. I politely suggested that he could have communicated the no-photo policy in a nicer way. Instead, he reacted in an alarming manner, using threatening language and making me feel unsafe. His behavior was so concerning that even other customers in the restaurant appeared uncomfortable and decided to leave.

I strongly do not recommend this place due to the hostile attitude of the staff. A business should create a welcoming atmosphere, and unfortunately, this was not the case here. I hope management takes steps to improve their customer service and...

owners of the business were not welcoming or hospitable at all. ordered coffee and drinks with a friend so we can sit down and rest for a while. they demanded us to leave their cafe, mind you we only stayed for 20minutes and we were the only people in the cafe. it would be understandable if the place had a long waiting line and people needed to sit down and eat, but it was completely empty. i cant believe we were chased out and my friend had not even finished half of her drink.

we also saw how the owners were incredibly rude with snarky attitudes towards interested customers. it seems like as if they dont want their business to be successful because all they seem to do is drive away...

food looked sad, nothing to shout about. service was downright HORRENDOUS, would leave a 0 star review if i could. barely sat in the cafe for 20minutes and they were telling us off saying that our time is up and we need to get out of their cafe. mind you I was not done with my drinks & there was absolutely no one else except us (shouldve got the hint) so i have no idea why they wanted their cafe to be empty. apart from this, we also heard the man telling other customers off, saying “with cash its $5.9, with card it’s $6.9. theres an atm outside it’s either you pay card or you get out of my entrance”.
