I had to wait around 15 minutes for a table, which was a bit frustrating as there’s no waiting list system—it’s more of a first-come, first-serve scramble, which can feel a bit disorganized.
That said, the coffee was excellent—beautifully made and flavorful. While not a traditional Italian cappuccino, it’s definitely one of the better ones I’ve had in Vienna (though my top pick is still Kaffee und Kuchen near Schottentor). The snack selection was limited, likely due to it being a Sunday afternoon, but I tried the lemon poppy seed cake and it was lovely—moist, fresh, and not overly sweet.
The baristas were friendly and welcoming, which added to the charm of the place. From a business perspective, though, the café could really benefit from expanding. It’s a beautiful space, no doubt, but the small number of tables and constant crowding make it less enjoyable, especially if you’re hoping for a relaxed coffee and cake moment on a weekend. With a larger seating area—something on the scale of a Starbucks—it could be even more...

Atmosphere is easy going, gentle music, quiet and cozy and spaceous , great restroom with the sense of luxury, furniture and space is elegant, pleasant and unpretentious
Coffee is fantastic, sweets are so tasty,
And they are open on holidays
3rd time I am visiting within two months and it is the same unwelcoming / hostile short guy (spoke greek) who talks down on me and everytime leaves me with the sense of not been taken care of as a customer every time (couldn remember my coofee type he suggested himself, delivered such an attitude of me being stupid when asked about the free semples, havent explained that I am to take the sweets myself, didnt notice watter glasses were missing, ...) only once the bearded bold guy (super professional attitude) came around, the unwelcoming guy calmed down and got friendlier I liked the calm girl with the tattooes and whished she...
Read moreDisappointing experience at Elias Coffee. We ordered a Freddo espresso that was poorly executed, lacking the proper amount of coffee, and overpriced. The only saving grace was the flat white, which was decent. Unfortunately, the croissant was far from fresh, with barely any filling, and somehow priced close to €8. Absolutely not worth it.
Service felt indifferent at best and very rude. You’re expected to do everything yourself, grab your croissant, hunt for napkins, pour your own water, and carry everything to your table. Meanwhile, the staff is clearing tables like that’s the main priority.
To top it all off, they have a passive-aggressive note telling you not to use your laptop unless you sit at certain high tables, apparently because they consider themselves a “high class” café.
I brought my wife here as a surprise and it ended up ruining our day. Definitely the wrong choice. Never...
